Chapter 38 - Niall

We have a really busy day today. We have a show tonight in a really big arena so we have to adjust everything to fit the arena. Then we have to practise and then see if anything else needs adjusting then we repeat that until its perfect. 

The girls chose the right day to have a girls day out. They are probably going to do extremely boring things like shopping and other girly things. I'm kind of glad that I am spending the whole day with just the lads because we seem to have drifted apart a little since three girls came into our lives. 

Even though we are rehearsing the whole day the boys and I somehow manage to squeeze in some time to have fun and mess around. 

- Tess -

we arrived at a spa. When we walked through the doors, cold air hit our skin making us shiver. a delicious and calming subtle vanilla scent filled our nostrils making us drool. We stood infront of the reception and ordered what we wanted. "we'll start off in the sauna and then have a full facial then a massage and hot rocks then a spa then have a mani-pedi"

"Just the three of you?" I nodded with a smile. "That will be $1209. You will pay after everything has been completed. Your session will start at 11:45. You will be served some light snacks and herbal tea at noon. Feel free to browse through our very own cosmetics line and any magazines". 

"Thankyou", I said and we walked away. I turned to my two friends with raised eyebrows. 

"Okay! We admit it!"

"We're impressed". I smiled smugly at myself. We all held hands and hugged. I could tell they were greatful for today. I am too. Now that they've mentioned it, Iz and Cara seem to be shut out of my life because of our new relationships. We squealed and walked over to the cosmetics. 

The cosmetic line was made out of new and improved formulas that have been dermatogically tested. Some of the products are even made out of natural ingredients. I picked up a set of their toners which were usually three dollars each. Their toners are made out the starchy water you are left with after washing rice. 

Their toners make up a lot of their products. "Tess, Izzy, Cara! Please collect your gowns and head over to the dressing rooms please. Your session will start in six minutes" the receptionists voice rang out. We went over to the desk and recieved our dressing gowns. 

We all managed to walk out at the same time. We had a sauna all to ourselves. It was a beautifully calm atmosphere. There was a box of coal in the middle and a separate box of water on the far side of the sauna. As soon as we walked in you could hear sighs and hums of relaxation. I scooped some water onto the burning rocks and steam billowed out, cleansing our skin. 

We talked in the suffocatingly hot room, we laughed and had a somewhat water fight. There was soon a knock at the door telling us to move to the facial station.

The sound crew suck! They have absolutely no idea what they're doing. After two and a half hours of adjusting and taking out and plugging in different cords, they finally got the mic's to  work. We started with 'Through the Dark'. It's one of my favourites. 

The music pounded through the speakers and Liam opened his mouth and started singing.

I slowly raised to microphone to my lips and licked them as the first melodic note rolled out.

"That, that was absolutely beautiful. But...you did know the mics weren't on?" said one of the sound crew smugly.

"Listen 'ere!" I started. I saw Liam and Harry's expression drop in the corner of my eye. "You don't know what you're doing. You are getting paid good money to do what? Do nothing except plug in and take out the wrong cords. How hard can it be? you just pic up a mic and follow the cord and plug it into the sound box. How bloody hard is it?"

"Mate calm down" Harry's voice wispered in my ear. He patted my back and my now red face whitened and turned pink from embarrasment. 

"Sorry" I quietly appologised to the sound crew. Without them our fans won't be able to hear a thing. I plodded away with my pink cheeks. I could hear footsteps behind me knowing it was the boys. I opened the door to the green room and flopped down on the couch. I hope Tess is having a better day than me.
