"You're right." Adam felt the weight of the world lift of his shoulders and he knew what had to be done.

"Can we please get back to golf now?" Jay whined.

"Yea, yea..don't be such a baby Halstead." Adam laughed.

Kim and Erin watched as Hazel played, "She's the reason I'm gonna end up going gray way before my time, her and Adam" Kim laughed, watching as Hazel fearlessly chased a little boy across the suspension bridge.

"Kids are so resilient, look at all she's overcome all of it before her third birthday, I know a few adults who couldn't survive half of what she has been through...me included in that. Losing Nadia almost killed me too" Erin grew solemn.

"I'm so sorry about that, it's been nearly two years hasn't it?" Kim took her eyes off Hazel, and looked Erin in the eye.

Erin nodded sadly, "Just about, that coupled with losing Justin, it's been rough." She paused and watched as Hazel played, "but I look at her, knowing that she lost both of her parents and her grandfather and she still smiles. I just can't be sad, not knowing that she still smiles, and finds the joy in everything"

"She's a little girl Erin, she doesn't get it" Kim exclaimed.

"Maybe." Erin smiled, "but it doesn't matter, she is able to find the joy, I can find it too. I just need to look a bit harder, it's there...it's always been there."

"Jay?" Kim smiled knowingly.

"Yea, Jay"

Kim laughed, "Erin Lindsay..I think you're blushing" she teased.

"Shut up, Kim!" She nudged her with her elbow, "I'm really glad we're friends, and that I'm with Jay, and you're back where you belong with Adam. Now if only we could find someone willing to take on Kevin" she laughed.

"Surely there is someone out there for him" Kim replied. She was still concerned over the money issue with Adam but she felt better having discussed it with Erin some. "Thanks for hanging with us today while the boys are golfing."

"No problem, I love hanging with Hazel" Erin smiled, "and you, don't worry" Erin stopped when an older woman approached them, "Hi?" Erin asked a bit weary of the woman.

It took Kim a few seconds but it suddenly hit her, "Hi! You're the woman who called the ambulance, right?"

The older woman smiled, "I am. I noticed your niece..right?" Kim nodded and allowed her to continue, "playing with that little boy, I assume she is okay, right?"

Kim smiled, "Yes, she is. Just some stitches, and she bounced right back. As you can see" she pointed to Hazel who had just come down the slide, "thank you for your help that day, my boyfriend and I are so appreciative."

She waved her hand, "It was nothing. Anyone would've done it."

"Maybe" Kim stood up and hugged her, "but you did it, and you stayed into the ambulance arrived, you helped to keep me calm. Which wasn't an easy feat, I was terrified."

"I need to potty" Hazel appeared before them.

Kim looked at Hazel, "Okay. Do you remember this kind lady, honey?" She pointed to the woman, "she helped us the day you got hurt."

"Mmhm, I gotta potty...bad." Hazel bounced on her toes, tugging Kim towards the bathrooms.

"Go on, I need to get going anyway" she smiled and winked at Hazel before leaving.
