SIX MONTHS LATER

"Stop it Sam!!" Hazel yelled from the couch, "stop taking my babies!"

Kim cringed at the shrillness of Hazel's screams, their sweet Samuel had been replaced by a toddler who had jumped head on into the terrible twos at just eighteen months old.

Kim had made it into the living room just in time, "Hazel!" She yelled as Hazel pushed Samuel down from behind, crocodile tears streamed down Sam's cheeks.

"He took my baby doll! The one from Ro!" She pouted, "he wouldn't give it back...so I pushed him!"

Ro that had been interesting.

"I've been thinking, Kim." Adam sat on the edge of the bed, he had just gotten in from a long day at work.

"Sounds serious" Kim teased as she ran her hand up the length of his bare back, "you seem tense."

Adam rolled his neck, "Its my mother."

Kim dropped her hand from his back, "Okay?"

He stood up and finished undressing, tossing his jeans in the hamper, "I've been thinking..she was good to you, before we knew who she was. The kids love her...I think I'd be okay..if you met up with her at the park. Like you used to, I don't want anything to do with her...and...I don't want the kids to know that she's their grandmother."

Kim sat up in the bed, "Are you sure?"

"Yes. I am. Just don't expect me to meet with her, I want nothing do with her. I just can't cut her from the kids lives, they're not to know she's their grandmother. Promise me that you'll respect my wishes, Kim." It had slowly eaten away at him, how could he cut someone from the kids lives that wanted to love them? He couldn't, though it didn't mean he was ready to welcome her back into his life.

"Of course." Kim looped her arms around his neck, "I'm so proud of you, baby."

That had been nearly three months ago, and since then Kim had made weekly visits to the park and the kids had grown close with Rhonda; it was Sam's attempt at her name that had led to the nickname of Ro.

"Samuel, stop taking Hazel's toys, ok?"

"Otay.." Sam replied.

"Hazel, you can't push people. Sam is smaller than you and he's younger, he just loves you so much. He wants to be with you and play what you play." Kim sat with both kids on the couch.

Hazel reached out to touch Sam's cheek, "I'm sorry bubby..."

Sam jumped down from the couch and grabbed the dolls, "Here's babies..." he tossed them in her lap, "Sorry.."

"Ro!" Hazel sprinted across the park, "I missed you!"

Rhonda met her halfway and scooped her up in her arms, "I missed you too! Have you been a good girl? Helping Aunt Kim with Samuel?"

Hazel rested her head on Rhonda's shoulder, "I was bad." She whispered, "I pushed Sammy baby down..."

Rhonda went and sat on the bench, Kim was already at the swings with Samuel, "What happened honey?"
