Day Three:
It's 6 in the morning and I'm awake. Ha-ha. Normally, my ass would still be sleeping, but since I'm a mother, I have a job to do. I wake Lola up and then start breakfast. I can't believe I have a second grader. She's so excited.
In the middle of making breakfast, Lola comes out and shows me her first day outfit. She picked out her favorite outfit ever! It's a nice pair of jeans, a white t-shirt with a pink heart on it, her blue hoodie, and her favorite velcro sneakers. Too cute. Nick is already at work so, I have to send him a picture.
After breakfast, Lola poses for a quick picture. Then, we were on our way. 'Buckle up!' I hear Lola announce. She is so smart. I love her.
Part of me really doesn't know what to say. My stomach is in knots. My head is pounding. My mind is racing. I just don't know what's going to happen.
After dropping Lola off, I go home and pace back and forth. I need to know what that bump is, but I'm trying to be positive. The thing is, the doctors, they can be calm! It's not their body! Me? I can't calm down! I can not remain calm knowing something is happening in my body. It's whatever though, I guess.
As I was doing the dishes, the phone rang. Weird. No one ever calls the house phone. In fact, I don't even know why we have one. None to less, I answer it. It's a radio station, telling me how much my husband loves me and that he wants me to know it. Okay? I know he loves me. Ha-ha. They tell me to turn on 94.5 and to listen carefully.
So, I do.
When the sun had left and the winter came
And the sky fall could only bring the rain
I sat in darkness, all broken hearted
I couldn't find a day I didn't feel alone
I never meant to cry, started losing hope
But somehow baby, you broke through and saved me
You're an angel, tell me you're never leaving
'Cause you're the first thing I know I can believe in
You're holy, holy, holy, holy
I'm high on loving you, high on loving you
You're holy, holy, holy, holy
I'm high on loving you, high on loving you
You made the brightest days from the darkest nights
You're the river bank where I was baptized
Cleanse all the demons
That were killing my freedom
Let me lay you down, give me to ya
Get you singing babe, hallelujah
We'll be touching, we'll be touching heaven
You're an angel, tell me you're never leaving
'Cause you're the first thing I know I can believe in
You're holy, holy, holy, holy
I'm high on loving you, high on loving you
You're holy, holy, holy, holy
I'm high on loving you, high on loving you
I don't need the stars 'cause you shine for me
Like fire in my veins, you're my ecstasy
You're my ecstasy
You're holy, holy, holy, holy
I'm high on loving you, high on loving you
You're holy, holy, holy, holy
I'm high on loving you, high on loving you
You're the healing hands where it used to hurt
You're my saving grace, you're my kind of church
You're holy.
