Chapter 14: Feelings

\RYDEL P.O.V/

I was so ecstatic when Ratliff asked me to the party . Of course, he said it was as friends but I kept wishing he meant more . He's never asked me to those things before . I've liked Ellington Lee Ratliff since I met him at the Rage . I was gonna tell him how I felt but there were many problems in that plan .

1) He wouldn't feel the same
2) Our friendship would be broken
3) Kelly would find out and most likely hate me
4) He'd think differently of me

And what if I did tell him and he actually felt the same, we would be together . That would be incredible but problems come from that too if we breakup .

1) The boys will, most likely, beat Ell to a pulp
2) None of us would have a friendship with him
3) The band could split up if it ends badly
4) Fans would be disappointed if R5 didn't exist

Also, what if we stay together ? Good things can come out of that .

1) We would both be happy
2) We will have support from our fans
3) We will be pleasing many people
4) It would give us a stronger bond

I would like to think me and Ratliff would work . Ellington is one of those people that don't get in a relationship of they know it won't work, and when he gets a girl he really likes he holds onto her . That's a thing I love about him . He works for you, and works hard to keep you . I mean just look at how long him and Kelly were together . He is the definition of a perfect boyfriend for me.

I know I'm not quite experienced . I've never had a boyfriend, or my first kiss and I'm 20 years old. Am I that bad ? Am I that ugly ? Why don't guys like me ? My mom assures me it's because of all the boys being around, it's kinda intimidating . I understand that but I just wish more guys were attracted to me, I suppose .

"What's wrong Del ?" Riker asks.

"I'm .. I'm sorry .. What ?" I stutter . "I wasn't paying attention . "

"I can tell ! You look upset . What's wrong ?" Riker pushes .

"Oh .. It's nothing ." I shrug off .

"Oh come on, tell your big bro ."

"Am I ugly ?" I mutter .

Riker looks at me with sympathetic eyes, "NO, RYDEL MARY LYNCH . I never wanna hear you say that again . You are beautiful . "

"Then why doesn't any guys like me ?" I pout .

"That's what this is about ? Rydel, your an amazing human being . You are gorgeous, and inspiration to many young girls, your funny, you have a good heart and can make anybody smile. I know plenty of guys that like you . Some closer then you think . "

My heart flutters at the last part . Is he talking about Ratliff ? Oh, I hope so .

"Like who ?"

"Well ... I can't tell you that ." Riker smirks .

"So, I'm not ugly ?"

Before Riker could answer Ratliff's voice appears behind me .

"No . Your beautiful ." Ratliff says . My heart flutters . Ratliff called me beautiful .

"Can I talk to you for a second Delly ?" Ellington asks .

Riker nods in improvement . "Uhm . Sure ." I say getting up .

\RATLIFF P.O.V/

How could Rydel call herself ugly ? I heard Rydel and Riker's whole conversation . Rydel is everything that Riker called her . She's absolutely gorgeous ! She's inspiring, so many of the girls in R5family want to be her, and they look up to her . I can't believe she didn't know that . Her laugh and smile is contagious, and it's amazing how she always manages to keep a smile on her face, even in the hard times . Rydel is the sweetest girl I know . She has a great personality, voice, and she's talented . She is perfect .

Yes, I like Rydel . I have ever since I met her . I thought I wouldn't anymore once I met Kelly but the truth is I dated Kelly because I didn't want to jeopardize my friendship with Rydel or the band so I tried to get over her . Then once Kelly started trash talking Rydel and wanting me to quit the band, I broke up with her .

"Uhm . Sure ." Rydel answers .

I guess this is it . I'm gonna tell that I was the one Riker was talking about . I was so scared that the boys would jump on me if Rydel said yes to be my girlfriend so I asked them if it was okay first . I asked them a few weeks before the party, but the party was an excuse to ask her out.

*Flashback *

"Uhm . Guys can I talk to you about something ?" I ask Riker, Rocky, Ross and Ryland .

"Anything, bro ." Ryland shrugs .

I take a seat on the couch in the Lynch's house . Rydel is out shopping with Katie and Sierra . Riker and Rocky are not he computer writing song lyrics, Ross is on his phone probably checking Twitter, and Ryland is throwing a football in the air .

"Well . There's no real way to say this but ..." I trail, all the boys look up with serious eyes .

"What's wrong, E-Rat ?" Rocky asks, concerned .

"Nothing's really wrong, but I don't want y'all to be mad at what I have to say ."

They nod signaling to go on .

"Well, I plan on asking a very special girl out soon ."

"Your not talking about Katie or Sierra right ?" Ross scooted closer .

"Oh no . Not them . I really, really like Rydel ."

The boys start laughing, "Your asking if you can date are sister ?" Riker calms .

I nod .

"Dude, we all know y'all are gonna end up together anyway . So yeah, go ahead . " Ross assures.

* End of Flashback *

Now here we are .

"What is it Ratliff ?" Rydel asks, clearly concerned .

"Well . Rydel Mary Lynch, I really like you ." I begin . A huge smile appears on her face which causes me to smile like an idiot . I guess that's a really good sign .

"And it would be an honor, if you would be my girlfriend ." I finish.

"Ellington Lee Ratliff, I would gladly be your girlfriend . " She accepts .

"Really !?!?!" I chirp .

She nods . I pull her into a hug . Rydel wraps her arms around my waist and I pull her closer to me, holding her neck . I grab Rydel's hand and run into the living room which is now filed with Ryland, Ross, Katie, Sierra, Rocky, and Riker .

"She said yes !" I inform .

"I said yes ." Rydel giggles .

"Haha . Congrats ." Everyone chants .

"Y'all sound like y'all are engaged ." Katie laughs .

"Not yet ." I kiss my beautiful new girlfriends blushed cheek .
