Chapter 5 : Engagment Announcement

AWe've been back in California for 2 days now . And guess what ? No drama ! I've decided to just forget all about Caleb, it won't be hard . Ross is my priority .

Mark thinks Ross and I should tell our fans we're engaged . I think it's a great idea but Ross doesn't want me getting that much hate . I really don't care though, they'll find out eventually .

Ross and I are cuddled up on the love seat watching Cake Boss on TV . We still haven't planned a single detail to our wedding .

"Guy, I got you two an interview on a morning show tomorrow where you will announce you engagement . " Mark informs, he leave before giving Ross a chance to speak . Ross seems mad .

"Babe, it'll be okay . I'm gonna get hate just by dating you . I'll be fine. It doesn't matter what they think ." I encourage .

He nods, "Your right, I'm being stupid . We'll announce it tomorrow . " He smiles and pecks my lips .

---At the Morning Show ---

Ross and I were ordered to get up at 5:30 this morning . Stormie took Ross to get ready while Sierra and Rydel took me .

Ross is wearing a yellow button up shirt with a white tie, and black skinny jeans .

I'm wearing a yellow knee length dress, I know *Eye roll*, black flats and white jewelry . My hair is curled and sprayed with glitter to look similar to Rydel's .

We're set to go on stage in 5 . Ross' whole family is here, including Ellington . Sierra is here of course . My family will be watching it as well, but in Georgia .

"We're ready for you ." A crew member informs us .

We respond by nodding . I must say I'm nervous . This is my first ever morning show, or any show . Usually all my interviews are YouTube interviews not show interviews . Ross has done this before, way more experience then me at that .

"Everyone here is the famous and cutest couple in L.A . Please welcome, Ratie ." The host, Marisa Veal introduces .

We walk onto the stage and take our places on the whole love seat meant for us .

"Alright, so most of us know you but for the ones that don't, can you introduce yourselves and tell us a little about you."

"I'm Ross Lynch, star of the show Austin & Ally, Teen Beach Movie and lead singer in my family band R5 " Ross leads .

"I'm Katie Dorsey, a lead singer in the upcoming band 'Hermosa' ." I follow .

"Great, so how long have y'all been together ?" Marisa asks .

"Just a little over two years." I say .

"Going strong ." Ross adds .

"That's amazing, guys ." She compliments .

I can tell Marisa notices my engagement ring .

"Is that and engagement ring ?" She says, astonished .

I nod and smile .

"Y'all are engaged ? " She perks .!

"Yes, we are ." Ross and I announce .

"CONGRATULATIONS ! How long have y'all been engaged ?"

"Barley a week now ." I admit .

"How did he propose ? " Marisa directs the question to me .

"At first he sang me a song and asked if I would move in with him . I excepted and we're in the process of moving its a house of our own . But it wasn't over . Ross sang 3 songs directed towards me after . He then got down on one knee and asked me ." I gush .

The room fills with 'awes ' .

"That's so sweet ! Was it here in California ? " She asks more .

"No, actually it was in Georgia, where I use to live . So my family could see it."

We talk about the engagement for a few more minutes . Marisa asked us about details of our wedding . We played it off like it was a secret, in reality we really didn't know about any of it . She asks Ross about working with Laura and how it just be awkward for me to watch . Which it isn't , I know Ross loves me and would never cheat on me with Laura or ever again at that fact , plus Laura is talking to some one but she won't tell us who . They're just friends . She asks Ross and me about our upcoming music .

"So, y'all are both indeed famous . How do you spend time with each other ?"

"Well, it is hard but we work through it . If I'm on set or rehearsal, she's there . I'm there on her rehearsal . When it comes to tours, were actually forming a tour so both of our bands can go . We talk on the phone a lot an text when we're not available to hang out . That sorta stuff . " Ross explains .

I nod in agreement as he speaks .

"Alright just one more question ." Marisa speaks .

"Has there been any drama already since you got engaged ?" She finishes .

Of course, every one wants stupid drama and gossip details .

"Actually, yes , there was drama with this guy back in my hometown that didn't like the fact I'm engaged to Ross . " I explain .

"Alright, well thats ask all the time we have . Make sure to congratulate the happy couple on network sites, all are listed below for both Katie and Ross . That has been all, I'm Marisa Veal with Ratie ."

And the cameras stop rolling .
