Chapter 95: Jimmy

The car becomes less visible until it dissapears. I trun around to walk back to the house but i bump into something. Or someone. Jimmy.

"Oh, hey." I say shyly. I havent talk to him in forever... years . We chit chat but its never gone farther. It awkward. I know Ross has talked to him thouhg, when they first met each other. I use to be in love with Jimmy. I use to date him actually. Twice. We grew up together and our familes, even us, expected us to be together and get married.. we were wrong. Its weird to hear his voice now. I look at him waiting for a reply and in that moment i realize he shares features like Ross. Jimmy has dirty blonde hair, and bright blue eyes that resemble my own. He's tall, taller than Ross and Ross doesnt tower over me but if i hugged Jimmy id come to his chest not his heart like with Ross.

"Hi.." He scratches the back of his neck. "Wanna take a walk?" He ask. I nod. We walk back into the woods.

"So how have you been?" He asks.

"Good, lifes been quite an adventure these past few years." I answer . "What about you?"

"Complicated." He chucks.

"Oh how so?"

"People. I think I fall in love with one person but then i end up comparing them to the same girl." He admits.

"You and Carolyn didnt work out?"

He shakes his head no. "Nah, you were right about her. Shes way to clingy and overprotective. She thought she owned me and her famioly would always threaten me. Plus she was so much drama and i dont wanna deal with a girl like that. "

"Oh, well im sorry. "

"Dont be." He gives a sly grin. He stops walking and looks at me, and chuckles. "Remeber this spot?"

I smile. We kissed here. It wasnt our first but it was a memory i would always remember.

"Yeah." I state simply.

"Good memories."

"Yeah." I repeat.

"So youre really going through with it, huh?" He asks.

"Yeah . I am ." I knew exactly what he was talking about. Ive known this kid my whole life.

"Why?" He breathes.

"You know why.."

"Yeah i do, i just assumed youd change youre mind about us.. everyone did expect us together." By now we're walking again.

"You broke up with me, Jim. Then we didnt talk for a really long time. Im with Ross now."

"Dont worry, im not gonna make a move on you or anything and Ross doesnt even know weve dated." I stop in my track. I thought he knew. "You okay?" Jimy asks.

"I just assumed you told him."

"No, our relationship is the past and it was our buisness. " He shruggs. I leave it alone because in all honesty he was right plus the topic of our relationship is a touchy subject. Always has been.

After a long moment of silence, i speak up, "We should head back, Ross will be calling soon."

"Go ahead, im just gonna stay here for a bit." He replys taking a sit, knees up and elbows on them looking in the distance and back turned in the direction im going.

I take a few steps and look back to the boy i once loved.
