Y/N POV

The train station was bustling with students, steam swirling around the platform as everyone hurried to catch the Hogwarts Express. The clatter of trunks and the squawk of owls filled the air. I couldn't help but smile at the atmosphere. It was finally time to go back to Hogwarts.

"Wait up!" Harry called after me, his voice trailing as he and Ron struggled to keep up.

I glanced back and couldn't help but laugh at the sight of them, faces flushed and chests heaving.

"Come on, slowpokes!" I teased, grinning widely.

"Oh dear! The train will be leaving any moment! All together now!" Mrs. Weasley called, her voice frantic as she rushed each of her children.

I raced ahead, barely pausing before running full-speed through the brick wall, feeling the strange yet familiar jolt of magic pull me onto Platform 9¾. I quickly emerged on the other side, followed by Ginny, Fred, and George, but there was no sign of Harry or Ron.

"Where did they go?" I asked myself, taking a step towards the wall as my eyebrows furrowed.

"All aboard!" the conductor shouted as the train let out a loud whistle, signaling its departure.

I bit my lip, bouncing nervously on my heels. I couldn't wait any longer. With one last frantic glance at the wall, I made my decision and sprinted toward the train.

"Y/N! Come on!" Ginny shouted, already leaning out of the train door.

I barely made it onboard as the train lurched forward, leaving me breathless. Sliding into an empty compartment next to Ginny, I collapsed into the seat, trying to catch my breath.

"I......am.....so.....tired." I say in between breaths.

"Me...too," Ginny replied, equally as exhausted.

Once my breathing returned to normal, confusion set in.

"Where's Ron and Harry?" I asked, puzzled. "They were right behind us, weren't they? It just doesn't make any sense."

"I'm not sure," Ginny shrugged. "Like you said, I could've sworn they were behind us."

"Odd."

"They probably already got on." Ginny suggested. "They might've passed us?"

It didn't seem right, but Ginny could be correct. Sighing, I leaned back into my seat, my eyes closing as exhaustion washed over me. That had been a close one. A minute longer, and we'd have missed the train entirely.

Curse Ron and his inability to get up on time.

The sound of footsteps nearing our compartment caused my eyes to open, my head turning to the entry door. As it opened, a familiar brown haired girl appeared, a smile already plastered on her maturing face.
