i meet him at the café.

he's wearing a black beanie,

a plain t-shirt,

and his favorite timberlands.

"hey!" he greets me.

i smile as i take a look

at his warm face.

"hi," i greet back.

"i haven't seen you in so long."

we embrace in a hug

and he chuckles.

"hm, we're all grown up now,"

he remarks.

the café is rather noisy today,

and the waiter comes up to him

and serves a bowl of salad.

he turns to me.

"would you like some?"

i shake my head,

and motion for him to eat it instead.

"you sure?"

i nod my head.

he takes a few bites of the lettuce.

"so, what's up?" i ask him.

he invited me out here.

i was wondering if anything happened

while i was gone.

he smiles brighter than

i've ever seen him before.

"i've been thinking about something,"

he tells me.

my eyebrows jump.

"hm?" i question.
