Emerson shot straight up, Magnus's name falling from her lips as she shocked everyone in the room. Alec had to fight himself to keep from glaring suspiciously at the warlock. He wasn't certain why he felt jealous at Emerson shouting his name.

There was something deep in the back of his mind that reminded him that Magnus was his ex, still he felt as if Emerson and Magnus were closer than they spoke about. Magnus furrowed his eyebrows as his hands rested on Emerson's shoulders and steadied her as he crouched in front of her.

His golden eyes stared at her in worry as her eyes fell on him. The look in her eyes confused him, it was as if she was seeing him in a new light, as if she had found out something about him and it changed her view on how she saw him. Her lips parted as she stared at him, her body felt sore and she recalled what had happened that led to her having those strange dreams.

However she knew they weren't dreams, they were memories of Rhamiel and she wasn't certain why she was starting to have them now. Perhaps it was because she was now communicating with Rhamiel, whatever the case part of her wished she wouldn't be shown them.

"Try not to move," Magnus advised her as he used his magic to look over her. Her body was fully healed, no traces of the venom was left however there was something vastly different about her.

Her entire aura seemed to glow brighter, a pure powder blue light that radiated warmth and power. Magnus feared that by her having used her magic it had erased any chance he had of keeping her as Emerson. Despite him having met another Enochain Guardian and finding that they were beginning to awaken he had hoped he could hide Emerson but now, now he feared that he would lose both Emerson and Alec.

"I saw you," Emerson muttered in a tired tone. Her body was still weak and her mind was hazy almost as if she was falling asleep once. She clung to Magnus as she fought to stay awake, not understanding why her body woke itself up only to fight to go back to sleep.

Magnus's eyes widened as Emerson's eyes closed and she slumped forward into his arms. He gently laid her back onto the sofa and stood confusion and despair coursing through his veins. Jace stood with his hand firmly gripping Alec's arm, he saw the pained look in Alec's eyes but the moment Emerson said she seen Magnus, the pained look had morphed into one of pure jealousy and anger.

Jace worried that if he let go of Alec that he would lunge for the warlock and attack him. Alec was normally never the one to attack first but it would seem that when it involved Emerson, even Alec was willing to throw caution to the wind. Izzy and Simon remained by Clary's side however, not understanding what was taking place. They felt as if Jace and Alec had forgotten all about Clary and that annoyed the couple.

"You should go; she won't be waking for some time." Magnus spoke as he avoided Alec and Jace's eyes.

He was torn, he had to contact Gerlinde maybe she would be able to tell him what was happening to Emerson, of course that could lead to his worst fears coming to life. He also needed to contact Jocelyn and let her know of what had happened though he had a feeling the woman, upon finding out what had happened, would do something drastic.

"What the hell happened," Alec's voice came out cold and frighteningly calm.

His entire demeanor was calm but as Magnus looked into his eyes he knew Alec was fighting to keep from lashing out. Magnus turned and stared at Izzy and Simon who were watching them, as far as Magnus knew they and Clary still remained in the dark about Emerson and even Alec. He could see their annoyance and confusion and wondered what they would do if they found out the truth.

"Just go Alec, I don't feel like dealing with shadowhunters this moment." Magnus spoke with a sigh as he motioned for them to all leave.

"We can't leave, you didn't even check on Clary!" Simon all but shouted as he stood up, he had had enough with all of them. Clary might be alright with not knowing but he was sick of being kept in the dark. He was sick of Clay's twin being the important one over Clary, the girl who had saved all of their lives at one point or another.
