To say Emerson was bored would be an understatement; she had long since passed the normal feeling of boredom and begun sinking into the depths of coma boredom, a state that she had long since declared the worst state of boredom above the others. It was mid-day and she and Yue were lying in the middle of the hallway that held Alec's, Izzy and Simon and Jace and Clary's rooms.
Yesterday had been an odd one for the pair, having been once again reunited and being caught in a strange game with Maryse Lightwood the day had ended with them staying up the majority of the night talking about nothing and annoying, who after almost four hours of hearing them, had kicked the pair out of his room, offering only a blanket and pillow with instructions of going to Clary and Jace to "talk to them" as he had kindly put it.
Instead they had took to lying in the middle of the hallway, ignoring Luke and Jocelyn who passed by earlier that morning, only offering a simple, 'Later,' to Luke who left for the day. Simon and Izzy had passed by only shaking their heads, not knowing what to make of her strange behavior but otherwise didn't question it.
Jace had also passed by, dropping a bag of candy on Emerson's stomach as he winked and carried on his way. Clary had been the only one to lay next to her and sharing the candy had listened to Yue as he talked about when the world had been young. Though eventually, even Clary got up to go do whatever it was she did, Emerson hadn't cared much to ask and didn't feel in the mood to move.
"Proving a point?" The irritated and confused tone of Maryse caused Emerson to prop herself up on her elbows and give the woman a lazy stare.
"He kicked me out, I'm waiting." Emerson replied as Yue popped his head out of the candy bag and grinned, showing his tiny razor sharp teeth.
"I have a feeling I should not waste my time in ordering you to move." Maryse spoke as Magnus appeared next to her, smirking at Emerson who offered a lazy grin.
"I'm sure she'll move sooner or later, for now Maryse we need to talk, everyone's waiting in your office. Your little stunt of claiming to call the Clave has everyone worried." Magnus spoke as he winked at Emerson who sat up and took the offered candy from Yue.
"They should not hide things," Maryse commented as she crouched down in front of Emerson. Emerson paused in chewing as she gave her a curious look.
Maryse offered a very tiny smile as she offered her a questioning look and without any words Emerson knew she was inviting her along. Emerson simply swallowed her candy before nodding as she picked up the bag and with Yue floating alongside her, they headed to the office. Maryse stood and was about to comment on the blanket and pillow but paused as Emerson spun back on her heel, and came back picking up the blanket and pillow before carrying on her way.
"You don't know anything so why lie?" Magnus questioned as he watched Emerson vanish from their sight a smile playing at his lips.
"She is special, isn't she?" Maryse questioned as she followed after the girl.
"You have no idea, especially to Alec." Magnus spoke as he watched her dark brown eyes flicker up to him before focusing ahead once more.
"Should I be worried about her being here? You and I have a mutual understanding of protecting those we care for, so give me a straight answer Warlock." Maryse spoke in a stern tone.
"She's someone that should be protected," Magnus spoke as he headed a different direction, not wanting to be near the woman much longer; he had other business to attend to and with Emerson being safe and Alec no longer near death he could leave.

"Why do you have a blanket and pillow?" Was the first thing Emerson was asked when she entered the office.
