The institute, for once, was silent and peaceful. The main residents were all resting having finally been reunited with two missing loved ones. Jocelyn had explained her and Emerson's departure and had even gone so far as to explain that it was Tessa's birthday and Emerson needed to grieve in her own way.

Jocelyn took all of the blame and dealt with the hurt feelings of her family, taking to sleeping in a guest room on her own; however she had later been joined by her husband, Luke, who was just happy to have his family together once more.

Clary had tried to talk Jace into carrying Emerson to her room but in the end she had been carried out where she and Jace had went to their shared room to sleep peacefully. Simon had to all but pry Izzy from Alec who still was unaware of the missing days and the confused of Jocelyn's explanations.

Finally Alec himself was forced to pick Izzy up and carry her to her room, ordering Simon to make sure she got some rest and later both feel asleep. Maryse who was still shocked by what had transpired had simply turned on her heel and left not bothering explaining to Alec why she had returned.

Alec returned to his room to go over the strange occurrence but had paused when she saw Emerson curled up where he had been sitting, sound asleep. He gently closed his door and walked to his desk chair but before he could sit down a portal appeared and from it came Magnus with an odd creature on his head. Magnus froze as his eyes met a perfectly healthy and awake Alec, standing and giving him both a curious and annoyed look.

Magnus turned and saw Emerson, also perfectly fine, sleeping on Alec's bed. Yue immediately vanished from Magnus's head and reappeared on Emerson's head, tapping her nose. Alec glared before rushing forward but before he could snatch the creature from Emerson Magnus had pulled him back with a shake of his head. Alec glared but before he could protest Emerson's sleepy voice made him tense and look at her. He knew she never liked being woken up and that she was a very heavy sleeper.

"Eno! Eno! Wake! Yue, here, Eno! Eno! Eno!" Yue shouted as he continuously patted her nose, hanging upside on her head as he tried to wake her. She stirred, almost causing him to land on the pillow beside her but he caught himself and carried on patting her nose.

"Yue, quit it." Emerson's tired voice filtered throughout the room.

A memory of when she was younger and would be woken up in the middle of the night by her only friend to play caused her eyes to snap open. Yue the goblin had been a name and face she had all but forgotten due to the sadness of her unexpected leaving. He had been her only friend it had been in a time when all creatures she saw had been kind and friendly, it had been a time when she laughed and was not as silent as she was now, and it had been before the accident.

"Yue!" Emerson shouted in joy as she bolted up.

Yue clung tightly onto her hair as he yelped in joy at hearing his long lost friends' voice once more. Emerson crossed her eyes to look upwards at the eerie but smiling and familiar face staring back at her. She reached up and he jumped into her hands as she held him to her face, their eyes closing as they hugged in their own special way.

Magnus couldn't help but smile as he finally saw the Emerson he knew shining through the girl that had come out of the accident. That was a memory none of them wanted to recall even in Tessa's death it was still something they never spoke of or even thought of. However seeing Emerson smiling so brightly as she held onto her old friend, Magnus couldn't help but count the years it had been since he had seen her truly this happy and it broke his heart.

Alec stood next to Magnus, his eyes furrowed in confusion but even he couldn't help but feel in awe at the heartwarming smile Emerson was giving the creature that was named Yue. In his teachings Alec could only recall the creature being a goblin, though he wasn't entirely sure as he had never personally seen one. His eyes softened as he realized that the goblin meant no harm, though he would still keep a close eye on it. What did cause him to be curious was how Emerson knew it and why it called her "Eno."
