My stomach ached as we walked towards the jet. I could feel the blood loss taking effect as I became slower. The pain kept me awake along with the cold arm around my waist. When I start to lose my energy, Bucky keeps me upright. We've done this so many times over the years.
"Let me search your bag and we'll let you on." The red head takes my bag which helped me keep going. She searched inside but I didn't need weapons. There was only a few trinkets inside that meant the world to me but held absolutely no value to anyone besides the value that I put on them.
Bucky helps me into a seat on the side of the jet as the two assassins conversed towards the front of the jet.
"Let me help." My eyes study his as I tensly decided what I am supposed to do. I finally nod and Bucky stands up to retrieve a first aid kit. "Lay down." I nod as I lay down across the seats. His cold arm gently lifts up my dark blue shirt which was soaked with blood.
There were three long cuts across my stomach. They weren't terribly deep but the amount of blood I was losing was causing problems.
"По шкале от одного до десяти. On a scale of one to ten." He asks switiching to my prefered language.
"Семь. Seven." I reply through gritted teeth.
"лжец. LIar." Bucky replies as he starts cleaning away all the blood. My hand tightly grips the side of the chair as tears threaten to spill down my cheeks.
"What caused those cuts?" Clint asks as Bucky grabs a syringe and starts trying to numb the damaged tissue as much as possible. I flinch every time the needle goes in but I don't fight back.
"My brother." I reply after he finishes numbing everything. "This was payback."
Bucky starts giving me stitches but the area wasn't numb enough. I could feel everything and I cried silently. The red head comes over and kneels next to me. Her hand gently takes mine and she starts singing to me in Russian.
"I'm almost done." Bucky tells me as my face contorts in pain again. The red head keeps singing trying to draw my attention away from Bucky. My eyes close as I try to ignore everything but her singing.
That's when I'm pulled into his head again. I could feel his rage as he yells at someone in a language even I don't understand. He snaps a poor woman's neck and I open my eyes quickly.
"Serenity?" Bucky touches my arm gently and I realize he said something before that. "What did you see?" He asks.
"It's all my fault." I whisper to myself. This wasn't the first time that innocent blood was spilled because of my stupidity. Bucky wouldn't remember all the times, I've messed up. He was the Winter Soldier at that point but he does remember me telling him what had happened after he regained control.

Nat's POV:
Serenity slept as Bucky watched over her. I knew he knew more about her than he was letting on but I wasn't about to interrogate him right now. Clint flew the jet so I could monitor her vitals. She was already running a fever but we should be back to the compound soon. Banner promised to be waiting for us.
"The scars are all from me." I turn to look at Bucky. The girl was covered in scars as if her body was a living record of her pain. "I think she tried to shield those memories from me but couldn't."
We both listen to her labored breathing. SHIELD had a file on the girl and her abilities were phenomenal but even she couldn't make a wall in Bucky's brain that he wouldn't eventaully tear down.
"You weren't you then." I tell him thinking back to all the things I did as the black widow. "You can make it up to her now." It would take him a while to regain her trust but Serenity trusted Bucky even though he caused her such pain.
"By bringing her more pain and suffering?" I could hear the pain laced into the few words. His guilt was evident. "She's only thirteen." I assumed as much and judging from the scars, this had been going on for most of her life.
"She's alive now." I assure him as we start our descend. Serenity doesn't stir as I disconnect the tube from her I.V. Her face was flushed from the fever which seemed to make Bucky worry more. He picks her up in his arms gently. Despite his reputation, Bucky did have a soft side and it seemed to come out for the girl. Her face contorts in pain but she doesn't regain consciousness as he moves her gently.
"Who is this?" Captain asks as we exit the plane. He takes one look at the girl and becomes instantly worried. "Bucky?" The exchanged a glance that told Captain everything Bucky wanted to tell him.
"She's a friend." Bucky replies as he glances down at Serenity. He then quickly rushed the girl to Banner's labs.
"Nat?" Captain seemed so confused because Bucky didn't seem to want to tell him everything. Their exchange wasn't a complete explanation and Captain wanted to know exactly what Bucky was dragging them into.
"Her name is Serenity. She was apart of Hydra and she worked closely with Bucky. He thinks she might be the answers to his problems. Her brother apparently did this to her." I explain as we race to the lab.
"When did the fever start?" Banner asks me as he makes Bucky leave. The skin around the wound was red and inflamed.
"An hour ago. Her breathing became labored about thirty minutes ago." I inform him as Tony comes in. This wasn't what we needed right now but at the same time, Tony might be able to help.
"I heard we're taking in more misfits." He glances over at Serenity then at Bucky then his eyes finally rest on me. "Do you need any help?" I nod before he quickly rolls up his sleeves and dives right in.
