Bucky didn't leave my side while I healed.  He talked to me trying to understand the decisions I made.  I wanted to tell him the truth but I didn't want to make his world come crashing down on him, so I told him I didn't want him to blame himself for what happened.

Natasha came when Bucky was getting something to eat.  I felt bad knowing that she blamed herself for me running away.  It's not like she knew what was going on in my head.

"Natasha it wasn't what you said that sent me running."  I assure her as she sits on the edge of my bed.  "I'm just scared that you guys will see the dark side of me and not want me around anymore."

"I get that just don't run again.  I know you're not used to people caring about you but I wouldn't want anything to happen to you and Bucky was frantic trying to find you."  My heart skips a beat when I think of how worried Bucky must have been.

"It was a stupid mistake and it won't happen again."  I reply sitting up slowly.  The bite was slowly healing but I knew it would leave a scar.

"What animal does your twin turn into?"  She asks and I bite my lip nervously.  My brother turned into a dog, much like the one that attacked me.

"He turns into a black dog."

"Like the one that attacked you."  It wasn't a question because she knew that I was hiding something.  "Serenity, if he found you..."  I shock my head not wanting to hear what she was going to say.

"I can't stay here.  I'm putting everyone in danger." I started crying.  I didn't want to go out there and face him by myself and I certainly didn't want to have Natasha try to stop me.  "I don't want to die."  I sob and she hugs me as I cry.  "He's going to kill me."

"No one will let that happen."  She promises.

Nat didn't leave my side until Bucky came back.  She tells him something before leaving.  Worry seems to cast a shadow over his features.  I felt guilty.  I've always been the cause of his pain and now I was causing him more.

I stare at the marks on my pale skin as I stare at the mirror.  Each mark was red and painful.  Banner told me that the redness should go down in a day or so.  He also told me to take it easy until I know for sure that the wounds were healed.

"Does it hurt?"  Wanda stands in the doorway as I pull my shirt back down.  I shrug as I put my hair in a pony tail.  I didn't want to tell her that they did hurt.  "No one is going to hurt you here." She tries to assure me.

"Wanda, someone is after me and he will find me."  I reply as I follow her down the hallways and towards the kitchen.

"We can protect you."  She argues and I shake my head.

"It's my job to protect you guys.  I put you all at risk when you decided I could stay.  Bucky knows the type of people who are after me.  He should be the one telling you to let me leave."

"What about me?"  Bucky was standing in the kitchen wearing an apron.

"Nothing."  I grumble.  "What are you making?"  I ask trying to move away from the topic Wanda and I were discussing.

"Lasagna."  He replies.  "You'll like it."  He assures me when he sees the confused look on my face.  "Would you like to help?"  I shake my head just wanting to watch him.  Wanda puts on an apron and helps Bucky in the kitchen.

Maybe if I tried hard enough, I might find a way to stay here.  I loved being apart of something that resembled a family.  My brother and I were close once but now I was alone.  I wipe a tear away hastily hoping that no one noticed.

Wanda laughs as Bucky tells a joke I didn't catch.  I force a smile relaxing for a brief moment.  After some nagging, Wanda got me into the kitchen, where Bucky taught me how to put together the lasagna.  The dish looked beautiful as we slid it into the oven.  We would have to wait a couple hours to eat it but it would be worth the wait in the end.

I couldn't sleep that night and due to the fact that my brother was out there somewhere, I couldn't go for a run.  Running usually cleared my head but now I would just have to wait until all of this blew over.

I get up and I change into work out clothes.  I could practice in the mat room until I was tired enough to fall asleep.  Nat was in the mat room beating up a punching bag.  I consider going back to my room but I would talk myself into running away again.

"Can I practice?"  I ask her as I come into the room.

"Shouldn't you be sleeping?"  I nod and she motions for me to come over.  She shows me a few new moves and we end up practicing until morning.  "SHIELD is interested in meeting you."  Nat adds as we start our cool down.

"Are they curious or do they know my record?"  I reply watching her closely.

"They know more about you than you probably know."

"I guess I can go.  I need a break from all of this."  I motion around us.  "When can we leave?"
