My parents did not approve of me attending a high school party especially considering the fact that they were leaving for another mission in the morning.  Jason's dad assured them that I would be staying over at their place while my parents were gone, so they wouldn't have to worry about me getting home safe.

That didn't quiet their fears and I knew Bucky was the most concerned about me.  He knew my past even though he tried to let me move on but even I couldn't forget the last party I attended.  It never ends well for me but thankfully Bucky was always there to save me.

"I'll be fine."  I assure them as I stood in the kitchen doorway.  Dima took his spot next to my side and he barked as if he agreed with my statement.  "See, even Dima agrees."

"He's just agreeing with you because he thinks he's getting food."  Bucky replies with a small smile.  "You know we worry about you." I felt guilty for making them worry.  I know they're my parents but this wasn't a normal family so them worrying usually means they are worried about me getting killed.

"I'll be safe."

"That's why we're agreeing to this arrangement."  Nat studies me for a moment before sighing.  "Just be safe and don't do anything stupid."

I turn to leave but then Bucky calls me back to the kitchen.

"You're putting a jacket over that dress."  He tells me and I look towards Nat hoping she would back me up.  I shouldn't wear a jacket over my dress to a party.  "I'm not letting you out of the house like that.  So, either put on a jacket or change the outfit.  And don't look towards Nat for backup."

I race upstairs and I grab the light blue shirt Nat got me yesterday and I put it on over my dress.  I tied it so it was open still showed off the dress.

"Is this better?" I ask Bucky.  He nods before letting me leave for real this time.

I left the house before my parents and I could feel their eyes on me as I made my way over to Jason's house.  Dima would be dropped off later when my parents actually left so for right now, I was free.

The music was the first thing to greet me as Jason and I walked up to the house.  I didn't know what to expect when we walked through the front doors, but even I couldn't have dreamed up this chaos.

"And the guest of honor arrives!"  Henry makes his way over to us with a pretty brunette on his arm.  "Lindsey this is Serenity, she's Russian."  He was slurring his words and I cringe knowing he would be drinking more alcohol as the party progressed.

"What kind of a name is Serenity?"  The girl glares at me as Henry laughs.

"No cat fights."  Luke appears and quickly removes the cup from Henry's hands.  "You're cut off until pizza arrives."  He tells his friend.

Henry grumbles but thankfully doesn't try anything.  Lindsey leads her drunk date towards the living room, probably to grab more booze.

"I'm sorry, Tsarina but we don't have any vodka tonight."  Luke had taken to calling me Tsarina a few nights ago and he hasn't stopped.

"You don't even know what vodka tastes like anyways."  Jason says and I blush.  I did know but he assumed that my age meant I hadn't.  "No way, you're only fourteen."  I shrug not knowing what to say before Luke leads me towards the kitchen where the alcohol was being served.

"I heard Russians can hold their liqueur."  The guy was around 6'4" and attractive. He wasn't my type especially considering the three girls who were throwing themselves at him.  "Can you hold yours, tsarina."  I didn't like hearing him call me that.

"Ignore him."  Luke tells me as he hands Jason a beer.  "What do you want?"

"I don't like alcohol."  I tell him trying to hide my accent.

Luke didn't push the alcohol which I was thankful for.  Instead he handed me a coke and said have fun.  I eyed Jason as he quickly downed his beer and moved onto the next one.  My friend was sixteen which was better than being fourteen and downing beer like that, but I was concerned about how fast he was drinking.

Music was being played outside and from the sounds of it, it was what Americans called 'country' music.  I liked the sound even though I didn't understand all of the words.

Jason pulled me outside when he noticed me leaning towards the music. I didn't stop him as he lead me out onto the makeshift dance floor.  I didn't understand the dance at all but that didn't stop me from trying.

"Another drink?"  Jason asked me as the most recent song ended.  I nodded realizing my coke was gone.  "I'll be right back, tsarina."  Already, his words were becoming slurred and I cringe when he uses my nickname.  I liked it when he used it when he was sober but drunk Jason was not the same.  I wait for him on the edge of the dancing, hoping to go unnoticed until he returned.

He came back a few minutes later carrying yet another beer and hands me a red cup.

"It's coke, I promise."  His words were becoming even more slurred, making it harder for me to understand him.  I skeptically take a sip of my drink.  It tasted a little off but for the most part still tasted like coke.
