Two months later:
"I like the remodel." I tell Tony as he greets me at the main entrance. My parents were called away for the millionth time since discovering our relationship.
It's been hard on Bucky and I now that we both know the true extent of our relationship and why my memories were taken from me. Nat doesn't seem to know how to help us, but she assures me that she will be here for me if I need her. I appreciate the space they are giving me but I kinda want to spend time with my parents.
Instead, I'm being shipped back to Avengers HQ until we figure all of this out. Ryan promised to pass along my letter to Jason, but I'm not sure he'll ever forgive me now.
"Serenity?" Tony waves his hand in front of my face making me come back to reality.
"Sorry, a lot's on my mind." I try to smile but my worries were gnawing away at me. "Do you know why my parents sent me back here?" I ask as he starts to give me the grand tour.
"They just want someone to keep an eye on you." He informs me and I nod sadly. He was probably right. "We moved your room. All the kids are in the same wing along with Vision."
"Which of us are you trying to supervise?" I joke as we head towards the new living quarters. "I heard Spiderman turned you down." I glance his was wondering what he would say since Wanda told me Tony was acting like Peter's father.
"That's old news. After he's announced as an Avenger we could always announce you." He offers and I shrug not knowing how my parents would feel about that. I mean no one beside SHIELD, the avengers, and HYDRA know about the Winter Soldier having a child. It might scare the world when they find out.
"I'm not sure that would go over well, Tony." I remind him as we pass Vision's room. "Has he learned what doors are for yet?" I didn't want to have to talk about how the public would welcome me, even though it would probably be with pitchforks.
"We're working on it." Wanda smiles as I run over to her. We hug for a few minutes before Tony coughs. "You're grown up." She tells me when we finally let go.
"I know. I look sixteen now."
"How old are you anyways?" Peter appears and Tony takes this as his leave.
"Physically or mentally?" I ask as I push a stray strand of hair behind my ear.
"Both."
"Physically, I'll be fifteen soon. Mentally I'm actually closer to 75."
"That shouldn't be possible." He counters as I smile. "You'll have to explain that to me."
"Sure, why not."

"You're English has improved tremendously." Banner notices as I help him make dinner. Apparently while I was gone everyone was assigned a night to make dinner. Monday's are Banner's.
"I knew English a while ago but you know the memories were taken from me. Now, I'm just trying to learn more of the informal speech that people use today."
"How are you handling the memories? I know some of them must be traumatic." He seemed concerned when I went silent.
"Some memories were taken for my own protection and I wish I could make them disappear. It's been putting a strain on Bucky and I's relationship." I sigh as I fight the tears. "It's hard dealing with all of this."
"Do you need to talk to someone?" Banner offers as I shake my head. Suffering from the memories was hard enough but vocalizing why everything was so horrible was another.
"I'll work through them. I survived the events once, so I can survive remembering them." We finish cooking in silence which gives me enough time to go through all my memories that have come back.
Petrov told me it would be like a leak in a dam. A little would come at first then once the wall finally falls, everything would hit me at once. It's already come back to Bucky and I guess he's worried what I'll discover once all my memories come rushing back.
My phone starts vibrating in my pocket and I race out of the kitchen to answer.
"Hey Ryan. How's Jason?" I ask the second I answer.
"So, you can ask my brother about me but you can't call." Jason's voice makes my heart skip a beat. "Where are you?" He demands when I remain silent.
"Did you read my letter?"
"No, I wanted to hear it from you." He responds. Silence ensues as I consider how to tell him everything. He needed to know the truth and it wasn't going to be easy telling him everything. Well, I guess I can leave out the part about me being around 75 years old. That would scare him off.
"The Winter Soldier is my father and the Black Widow is my mom." I thought that was a good a place as any to start telling my story.
J: I know. I figured that out when I saw them come home.
S: And, I'm a mutant.
J: Figured that out too, after you kept healing so fast.
S: So what do you want to know? You know the big things and I can't figure out what else you would want to know right now.
J: Where did you grow up? How did you learn English so quickly? How old are you? When are you coming back here?
S: I did grow up in Russia under HYDRA. They're the people who toppled SHIELD. I already knew English but my memories were taken from me. I disappeared so I could get them back. I'm a lot older than I look but I'm still me.
J: Again when are you coming back?
S: I wanted to come home but my parents and I are still trying to work everything out.
J: Come back soon. Then you can tell me all the details of your life back in Russia.
S: I'll try.
He hangs up the phone and I stand there staring at his picture for several minutes. I didn't realize I was crying until I felt someone put their hand on my shoulder. I wipe away the tears as I look up.
"Do you need to talk?" Sam pulls me into one of the empty conference rooms around the compound and makes me take a seat. I knew he would want me to talk to him considering he does support groups for a living but I couldn't seem to put my feelings into words.
