I'm locked in a closet. I'm not sure how it happened but now I locked inside a very small, very dark closet. Rina and I were just walking along the hallway laughing at how successful our prank went when suddenly I was body slammed side ways. I fell to the ground and when I tried to turn around to see what was going on the door was slammed in my face. Somehow Rina had escaped so for all I know she could be being tortured by Jacob and David. And, of course, my phone was not in my pocket like it usually was. I blame Rina for that. We had spent all of last night listening to music on it and then I fell asleep before I could plug it in. So now it sat up in my bedroom charging while I was stuck in this stupid closet with no form of entertainment or light.
"Oh my goodness it's been hours. I'm gonna die of hunger. Or boredom. Or both," I say into the darkness.
"Oh relax drama queen. It's only been ten minutes," a muffled voice replies from the other side of the door. Then the door opens an inch or two and I'm nearly blinded by the sudden light. Rina pokes her head in and looks around.
"Hiya," she says nonchalantly, as if I got locked in a closet everyday.
"Ugh it's about time you came to save me from this horrible place," I say as I stand up.
"Drama queen," she mutters again and rolls her eyes. As I take a step towards the door it suddenly slams shut again. I knock on the door; someone knocks back.
"I thought you were going to let me out!" I yell. Again the door opens, this time much wider, and someone stumbles over me. We both topple over and I hear Rina again but she's still on the other side of the closed door.
"Eventually we'll let you out."
Since my eyes are already adjusted to the darkness it's not hard for me to see who's sitting next to me.
"Hello Jay."
"Hi," he replies weakly. We both stand up but since the closet is so small we're pressed against each other, our faces awkwardly close. I pound on the door and the response I get only angers me more; Rina giggling. Jay reaches for the doorknob but I just shake my head.
"I've already tried that," I tell him. I press my ear against the door to try to listen to their whispered conversation. I can just barely make out what there saying. Jay shifts next to me and I turn my head to see he's trying to listen to them too.
"What are you guys doing?" I recognize it as David. There's a pause before he groans. "Please tell me you didn't."
"They needed a slight push," Jacob says.
"Literally. Into a confined space where they are forced to talk to each other," says Rina. I can hear the happiness in her voice. I pound on the door again. Their conversation stops for a few seconds and then when they start talking again it's much more quiet.
"They're going to hate you forever," David whispers. Then he says loudly so we can hear it clearly "Just so you know I wasn't apart of this so please don't be mad at me."
"They'll get over it. Let's go."
"Wait I have to pee!" I call out in desperate hopes they would be stupid enough to open the door.
"No you don't," Rina says back.
"How would you know?"
"Because you rarely ever per throughout the day and I know you just went a few minutes ago."
"Darn... Then Jay needs to pee," I say.
"No he doesn't."
With that they all walk away, leaving Jay and I alone in an uncomfortable silence. Suddenly I remember something.
"Wait Rina! You're my slave! I command you to let me out!" I yell as loudly as I can. Jay gives me a questioning look but I just mutter that I'll explain later. Footsteps walk slowly back towards the door.
"You have to let us out because I said so!" I say.
"I sorry, I can't hear you."
She runs away  but I keep yelling after her but after awhile I realize she's not going to come back so I give up. I slide down the wall into a crouching position and Jay does the same. As much as we try it's impossible not to be touching each other because of the confiding place. I really want to stretch my legs out but I can't. There are several long moments where we don't say anything, we just stare at the wall or floor. Eventually I hear a door slam. It seems like they left, those assholes.
"Well, er, this is weird," I whisper, just to break the silence.
"Yes it is. How long do you think they've been planning this?"
"Ever since Rina thought of forcing me take a vacation," I say irritatedly.
"She forced me to come too. Wouldn't leave me alone until I said yes."
"She's a jerk. They didn't even leave me food. She knew I was hungry, too, because we were just going to the kitchen to make some waffles. Jerk. I'm gonna punch her in the face when she comes back. I'm gonna punch Jacob as well since he's involved. Asshats. All I wanted was some waffles and bacon." I'm more taking to myself then Jay at this point. He laughs and shifts slightly.
"I'm hungry too. Do you think they'll deliver a pizza to a closet?" he asks, a thoughtful look on his face.
"Do you have your phone?"
"Yea."
He gets up, pulls his phone out of his pocket, and sits back down. He clicks the home button in we squint at it. He quickly turns the brightness down and unlocks it. After a few minutes of Googling he finds a decent looking pizza place not to far away.
"Pepperoni?" he asks.
"Get two. We can save one for lunch tomorrow. And garlic bread."
Jay holds the phone up to his ear and starts talking to the person on the other line. Jay gets aggravated real fast and starts arguing with them. He suddenly hangs up and sets his phone on the ground next to him. I raise an eyebrow at him but he doesn't say anything, just keeps frowning.
"Well?" I ask eventually.
"It took some convincing and the promise of a large tip but they'll be here soon."
"Yay."
--------------
"Do you think they're still alive?" Rina asks. They have just returned and are walking down the hallway towards where Jay and I sat on the couch enjoying the last of the pizza. I pause the show we're watching and watch as they walk past us without realizing we were even sitting there. They've been gone for two hours and a half hours, leaving us in the closet for nearly an hour.
"No. They died about an hour ago. Their funeral is next week and they left you nothing because you're horrible friends." I say with my mouth full of pizza crust. The three of them jump and spin around.
"How-how did you get out?" David asks in astonishment. Jay gestures to the pizza boxes sitting on the table in front of us.
"Pizza lady let us out. You owe me $39 by the way- each pizza was $7, the tip was $10, and then we had to pay an extra $15 to convince her to come into the house and let us out."
"Did you save us any," David asks and sits down next to me. I hand him the paper plate with two slices and one piece of garlic bread that we set aside for him. Jacob looks in the pizza box and sees that it's empty.
"You didn't save us any?" he demands.
"No, just David. He didn't lock us in a closet for nearly three hours."
"It wasn't that long! You got out," Rina tries to argue, obviously disappointed there was no pizza for her.
"That's not the point," I reply. I smirk at her sad expression then shove the last bite of pizza into my mouth. She puts her hand on her hip and rolls her eyes.
"Well?" she asks expectingly.
"Well what?"
"Did it at least work? Are you talking again?"
I glance over at Jay and our eyes meet briefly. I quickly look away again and back over at Rina, who was smirking.
"That's none of your beeswax," I reply. Without another word, I hit play on our show and ignore Rina and Jacob's questioning looks.

As the show ends I yawn. Despite it only being 11:20, I'm extremely tired.
"I think I'm gonna go to bed," I announce. I nudge Jay slightly and mutter quietly to him "See you in a little bit."
I stand up and walk towards the stairs. When I get to the second step Jacob yells after me.
"Wait what does that mean? Why will you see him soon?"
"None of your beeswax," I yell back and then run up the stairs before I can be questioned further.
