Rina' POV
(A few days after the party)

I stretch out on the couch. Then, five seconds later, I adjust myself again. I only last seventeen seconds in that position before I'm squirming around again. I just couldn't seem to get comfortable on this stupid old couch. I was also so wiggly because I was bored and hoping to get David's attention. So far, my plan didn't seem to be working. He kept his eyes focused on his phone. I could tell he was purposely ignoring me so I move around again, this time with a sigh. David replies with his own sigh. Finally he looks up from his phone.
"Can I help you?" he asks.
"You should watch some Netflix with me. I'm in a Gilmore Girls kinda mood."
"No," he says without hesitation. I pout slightly at the fact that he didn't even stop to consider it.
"Gossip Girl?"
"Where's Mira today? Can't you go watch it with her"?" he asks me. He really didn't like watching my shows with me. He said most of them had too much romance and shirtless guys. And while I do admit there's a decent amount of romance in most of my shows, there's hardly enough shirtless dudes. I pout even more at his questions.
"She ditched me. Her and Jay decided to start packing," I reply. David stares at me for a long moment.
"Fine. I'll watch tv with you but I refuse to watch anything too annoying."
"Yay. Teen Wolf it is."
"I have an odd feeling that's annoying but whatever," he grumbles.

He lasted one and a half episodes. One hour and five minutes to be exact. David only managed to get through that long before abruptly standing up and throwing up his hands in exasperation.
"I can't watch this any longer," he groans. He grabs the remote and clicks the tv off. Before I can complain he leaves the room.
"Just because you don't want to watch it anymore doesn't mean you can just turn off the tv!" I yell after him. He returns a few seconds later with two pairs of shoes in his hands. He sets one pair down next to me then sits down and starts putting on the other pair. I just stare at him, unmoving. I assume he's wanting me to put in those shoes but I refuse because they were running shoes and there's no way I'm running anywhere.
"What are you doing?" I ask him as he ties the laces.
"Come on. We're going for a walk," he replies.
"Ha! That's funny. No thank you. I'll stay here and continue to watch Teen Wolf."
"Well someone needs to walk these dogs. Plus, we can walk to the ice cream place down the block."
It was a tempting offer. I could either sit here watching shows by myself or suffer a walk to be rewarded with ice cream. Hmm this is a hard choice. Should I be lazy or go get yummy ice cream? Slowly I start to put on my shoes.
"This ice cream better be worth it," I mutter.
"I'll go get the dogs."
He gets up and leaves the room. I finish tying my shoes then stand up and look around for something to eat. I'm hungry. I smile when I see the bag of potato chips sitting on the table. I shove a few in my
mouth at the same time that David returns with the two tiny dogs snuggled up into his arms. When he notices that I'm eating, he raises an eyebrow. He opens his mouth like he wants to say something but closes it again. He rolls his eyes and walks toward me. I hold out the bag of chips and he sticks his arm in and pulls out a handful. He manages to fit all of them into his mouth then reaches into the bag again.
"We're fatties. Alright let's go," he says and then walks past me to the front door. I put a few more chips in my mouth then move to follow him. Before I take even more than two steps, he returns.
"Actually just bring the whole bag. Those were really good," says David with a mouthful of food. I grin and quickly pick up the bag and then walk out of the room.
David hands me one end of a purple leash then bends down to connect the other end to my Tessa. He does the same to Jem, Mira's puppy. I sigh as dramatically as I can then step off of the porch.

After about two steps I'm regretting this. I start dragging my feet and try to estimate how long until we would reach the ice cream place. Despite the fact that we couldn't walk too fast because the dogs had tiny legs, it was still to fast of a pace for me. I'm embarrassed to say that I was exhausted already. I guess thats what I get for not doing any form of physical activity since 10th grade gym class. It probably didn't help that I was still munching on potato chips. I look over at David, who seemed to actually be enjoying this torture.
"How much further?" I groan.
"We are almost there."
"I think you're lying but whatever."
We continue walking in silence. It feels like it's been hours but I know it's only been a few minutes. I was slowing down with every step I took but thankfully David didn't say anything about it and just slowed down to my pace. Soon, much sooner than I thought, I could see the local park. That got me to walk faster. If the park was in sights then it wouldn't be long until I had some ice cream.
"I always get lost in this park. Where's the ice cream place at?" I ask David once we reach the entrance of the park. There were three paths- one that went straight that I knew led to the play grounds, one that went right, and one that went left. I've never gone on the right or left paths because they were trails for the walkers. But I think one of them eventually went to the ice cream stand. The straight path somehow led to the ice cream as well but it was on the complete other side of all the play grounds and you had to take another path that was next to one of the swing sets.
David surprises me by going straight, though.
"There isn't a short cut or something?" I question.
"I don't know. This way is just easier. Plus all the little kids will like seeing puppies."
"Good point."
At the realization that ice cream was so close, I pick up my pace. Little Tessa wags her tag in excitement and starts running in front of me. Her legs were so small that she could only quickly trot. I laugh and start jogging, just to see how she'd react. She barks once and runs as fast as she can. After only a few steps she gives up and comes to an almost complete stop. I lean down and scoop her into my arms.
"Come on puppy. Let's go see if they have anything for you," I say to her. I turn my head to see David lagging behind.
"Keep up," I shout. He rolls his eyes and walks slightly faster.
It's not long before I can see the small ice cream place. It was hardly big enough to fit the two people working there. Several little kids stood in line with their parents, tugging impatiently on the adults's sleeves. I do the same to David when he finally catches up with me.
"I want a chocolate with chocolate chips in a chocolate dipped cone. And rainbow sprinkles on top. Tessa wants a popsicle or something. Jem wants that as well," I tell him. He rolls his eyes again.
"Do the dogs really need something?" he asks.
"Yes. Now pretty please go get us some. I'll take the dogs and go sit down at a table."
I grab the leash from him and walk away before he can object. I sit down at the nearest unoccupied table to wait. Within seconds, a little girl runs over to me with wide eyes.
"You have two dogs?" she asks in disbelief. I nod my head.
"Can-can I pet them? They won't bite me will they?"
"Sure you can pet them. And the worst they'll do is lick you," I reply. She bends down with a wide grin. After only a few seconds a worried looking lady walks over.
"Clare Marie Lands. I have been looking everywhere for you. You can't jut walk away like that!" she scolds the child. She turns to me with an apologetic look. "I'm so sorry."
"It's no bother. The puppies like the attention."
"Come on Clare. Daddy has your ice cream," the lady says. She grabs the little girls hand and drags her away. Clare looks back at me with sadness and waves goodbye. I wave by back. David sits down next to me and looks around the area.
"Who are you waving to?" he asks.
"That little girl. She was petting Tessa and Jem."
He hands me an ice cream cone overfilled with chocolate ice cream. Then he sets down two empty cones for the dogs. The eat it as quickly as possible. I lick my cone and look to see what he got. Just a plain vanilla milkshake. It's not like there was anything wrong with milkshakes but there was over twenty flavors of ice cream he could've chosen instead. He watches me as I continue to lick mine.
"That looks really good," he says.
"Well you should've gotten it instead of a boring old milkshake."
"Sassy. Can I have a taste?"
I was feeling unusually nice today. I hold my cone closer to him and he leans down with his tongue sticking out. I realize just as he's about to taste it that I wasn't really feeling that nice. With a smirk, I shove the ice cream into his face. It only gets on his nose but by the shocked look he gives me you'd think I just punched him in the eye or something.
"What was that for?" he asks in disbelief. I giggle and shrug. I lick a chocolate chip of of the top of my ice cream and watch as he attempts to wipe his face off.
My phone starts buzzing in my pocket. I consider ignoring it but I figure it must be Mira so I pull it out. I was right, it is her. I click 'answer' and hold my phone up to my ear. I go to take another quick lick of my ice cream and then say hello.
"Rina! I have had-"
I don't hear what she says next. I was too busy staring wide eyed at David as he laughs at me. As I had gone to take another lick of my ice cream, he shoved it in my face. And it hadn't just gotten my nose like I did to him. No, the sticky chocolate covered almost all of my face. I frown as he continues laughing. Then I just shrug and stick my tongue out as far as it will go and start licking as much of it as I can off my face.
"Sorry Mira. You'll have to repeat all of that. David was distracting me," I sat into the phone. Then I continue eating my mutilated ice cream as if nothing had happened. Most of it was on our face and nearly gone but I didn't care.
"Well I was just saying how boring packing is. I need to take a break. I need something to entertain me. You know what that means?"
"Definitely I'll be over as soon as possible. We're at the park."
"Ok we're at the house. Ooh and bring me my favorite please!"
"Alrighty. We'll be there soon."
I hang up the phone and look over at David. He was still slightly laughing. I look down at what's left of my ice cream then look back up at him. I grin evilly then smooch the rest of it in his face. I let the cone drop to the ground. Immediately the dogs are running towards it.
"Oh, no puppies. You can't have chocolate." I reach down and pick up the cone before either dog can get to it. I look back up at David, who was now pouting. I give him a wink and kiss him on the cheek.
"Mhm yummy chocolate," I say. He grumbles something under his breath and stands up. I do the same.
"We're a mess," he says. I nod in agreement. I pick up our few remaining napkins and attempt to wipe off his face. It doesn't do much good and just seems to spread the chocolate even more on him. I sigh and give up. We'll just have to wash off at home.
"Will you pretty please go get one small double chocolate and one medium? Both in bowels. Please and thank you!" I give him another kiss on the cheek then walk over to the garbage can to throw away our mess.
"You're lucky I love you," he mutters. "Or else I'd walk away right now and leave you by yourself."
"Too bad you love me then."
