Alex POV (I'm very angry right now I've re written so many times because my computer keeps shutting down! Bleh I'm so angry right now!)

I wake up and look over to see that Rumi is still asleep. When I get out of bed I make sure to be extra quiet, I even open the door just a crack and squeeze through in order to not make much noise. I go out and sit on the wooden chairs, propping my feet up on the other one. I use the medal poker to make the fire putter and spark with warmth.

My stomach grumbles with hunger and I get up to get something to eat. On the counter is a bowl of fruit. There are some apples pears and some other fruits. I grab one blindly and make my way outside.  I sit on the front step and look at the sun rise over the roofs of the top of the tents that make up the Market. The sun casts a bright orange and yellow glow through the town of Resistance. It almost looks, beautiful.

I look up and see that there is a Woman standing beside a child. They bear crazy resemblance that makes me believe that they are Mother and Daughter. The Mother has a protruding belly that leads me to believe she is with a child. A man comes up and kisses the woman on the cheek while grabbing the little girl. He picks her up and twirls her around lovingly, I presume she is his daughter too. I guess the resistance is a place that is pro family. The resistance is perfect.

I drop my pear core onto the ground hoping that some animal will get it, if not it will just decompose. I go back into the house and go into the bathroom. I splash my face with cold water to refresh and clean off my sleepy grog. Just as I come out of the bathroom Rumi is coming out of the bedroom. She is rubbing her eyes in order to get rid of the sleep.

"Hey, Rumi." I greet her

"Good morning, Alex!" Rumi says a little to cheerful which is something that I know as a sign of her being scared, nervous, or lying.

"Rumi what's wrong with you?" I ask sternly

"Nothing, Alexis! Why do you always think there is something wrong?" She asks wringing her hands and blinking rapidly

"There is something wrong." I say crossing my arms

"No!" She responds trying to deflect my Alex wrath

"Tell me!" I demand from her using my 'I-know-what-you-aren't-telling-me' face

"Fine!" she huffs "I'm scared of getting a tattoo."

"What?" I laugh at her

"Stop! It's a rational fear!" She says sadly "I just don't think I can do it."

"Well, I guess we can talk to the people but the resistance seems like they have intense ground rules that don't need you be broken. Seems like they have a very important system." I say shrugging "If it makes you feel any better we can make Sean go first, then Camen, me, then you last."

"That would be awesome. The Resistance people really scare me, still." She says with rosy cheeks

"It's fine, you know I will try and do what you need me to, that's why I am your friend." I say with a smile

"No, that's why I'm your friend." She says with a matching smile

"Well, friend get a piece of fruit for breakfast and wash up, we are going to go get the boys before Eden can get to them." I say with a smirk

"Okay," She agrees

I go outside and sit on the front steps, waiting for her to finish. When she comes out I stand up and we start to walk down the path of Apartments. When we reach the ones labeled with the numbers in the seventies range and I turn to Rumi

"What number are the boys?" I ask her

"Oh, sixty-two, I think." she responds scratching her head
