ALEX POV (I'm sorry if this chapter isn't as good, I'm just not feeling this one right now, my next chapter will be better tho, I promise!)

I wake up during the middle of the night, I touch my palm to my forehead and it comes away sticky with seat, beside me lay Camen. He is curled up like a cat, and has a faint smile on his face. I just wish I could know what was behind that smile. Sometimes he is so secretive and it kills me because I just want to know!

I hear a faint noise on the other side of the cavern where Rumi is curled up against the wall. In her hand is a pointed rock. I watch as she jams It into her wrists, scraping it back and forth, she then puts it up to her face, ready to smash in the weapon. In to quick leaps I am at her side, taking the rock away from her withered, yet young, hands.

She stirs a little but I put her arm down beside her and stroke her hair. "Everything will be all right little one, everything will turn out fine."

I suddenly get hot as if the whole world is closing in on me and I burst out of the cave, searching for the cool breeze. Once my feet hit the soil I am running, I find my way to the small stream that Camen showed me a few days ago.

Once I get to it's cool side I slide out of my shoes and dip my feet into the water. At first the water sends my whole body a chill like freshly fallen ice. Surprisingly, it is just what I need to feel  better. As I kick my feet in the icy water, having a child like moment I hear a crack in the bushes. I dismiss it as a squirrel that was my first mistake. My second mistake was trying to scream to my friends for help because now, they know my friends are near by.

The Union men strap a piece of cloth to my mouth and I fall asleep. The drug infused dream is crazy and flourescent like a dizzy spell. When I am able to unglue my eyes from their unconcious state I look around.

There is a small window to the left of me, it is only a foot wide and a few inches high, not nearly big enough for me to escape. A heavy metal door is in front of me and I am sitting in a single steel chair. With the corner of the chair I work on cutting my rope restraints, back and forth I push the rope so that I can get free.

I feel it give a little more with each scrape, when I am free I use my hands to untie my ankles. Once that is done I pace around the room. How to get out? How to get out? I look around for any loose bricks but there are none, then I get what to do.

I pick up the steel chair and smash it against the wall with the window. I keep hitting the wall near the window. I hear a solid crack and a small line weaves down the wall. YES! I cry in my head. I am about to start hitting the wall again but I hear some footsteps a little farther down the hall.

My heart races as I practically throw the chair onto the ground. I slide into place and carefully wrap the ropes around my wrists to seem restrained. Just as I am finishing my wrists a heavily armed guard with giant muscles comes into the room. I know imediately he is Edge.

I say a silent prayer hoping that he won't notice the crack in the wall and the shattered window.

"Well, well, well." He clucks looking me up and down. I let out a low growl and he chuckles. "Alex, I am so disapointed that you didn't escape, darling girl."

"Edge," I growl, still trying to figure out how I know him

"Alex? You girl, started going by that stupid name, makes you sound like a lesbian darling girl." He says in shame

"What is a lesbian?" I ask confused

"No such thing anymore." He sighs "Your name is Alexis, that is what your mother wanted to name  you so that's what w- she named you. You need to be grateful of your Mother, she really loved you-" I cut him off
