Alex's POV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Ya'll this is so good! We are going to finish by the end of December pinkie promise)
"It's a wild American!" I scream yanking Rumi away. We duck behind a table and I scream for Sean and Camen to come help.
Rumi just screams a long and continuous scream as she covers her ears. I hear pounding up the stairs and Sean comes in and tackles the crazy man. As they struggle with each other the man gets his arm around Sean and shoves his arrow into Sean's back.
"No!" Rumi yells as Sean cries out in pain as the spiked thing is stabbed into his back multiple times.
Rumi gets up and tries to run to Sean but I grab her arm and pull her back. She fights to get free but I try as hard as possible to keep her with me and protected so that she is hidden from that crazy man. She looks at me and her eyes are harsh and dark.
"Please, Alexis. Please, let me help him." If there is one thing I am good at it is reading people. In her eyes are longing and desperation to help this man she supposedly loves.
"Rumi, I'm so sorry but I can't risk him stabbing you next." I whisper harshly and look back above the table. The crazy man is watching as Sean tries to get up from his hurt position lying on the ground. Rumi gasps in horror as Sean cries out in pain when the crazy psycho stabs him all the way through the chest.
"SEAN!" she screams his name just as I wrap my hand around her mouth so she can't scream any more.
The guy stands up and shouts "Come out! I know you are hiding in here. You can't just intrude into people's houses! These are my neighbors and they are coming back. They are coming back! Get out of here ya' know. When the gas powered generators ran out of fuel and the power went out they left but they promised to come back as long as I watch over the down for them. I've been waiting two years! Two years, they will be back soon because they promised me they would. PROMISED! No one breaks a promise!"
His voice cracks and he starts to cry on his knees. seeing the man cry smacks something inside of me that rattles my emotions. Soon enough I've gotten back to my senses.
"Camen! Camen, help us!" I cry loudly, I scream again and again and finally Camen is there.
Camen takes the man's current weakness as an opportunity to knock him out, permanently . He then goes to Sean, and I let Rumi go to him as well.
Among other things I hear Camen say "So much blood, too much blood."
I sit back and let Camen do his work to help the horribly injured Sean back to health. Looking around the room I see a jungle of rotting, abandoned furniture stacked up in a hoard pile. To my left there are boarded windows to which u walk to and knock down the boards. I peer outside and see a far stretch of road in the middle of desert.
To the rest of the group I mutter something about going to check for food and I march down the stairs. Holding my knife in front of me in order to use it as self protection I head out of the house and find one that looks a little more inhabitable than the one I was just in. I walk down what looks to be the main street and see so many stores and fake cowboys. All of the statue things are smiling as they stand half crushed on the sides of the street.
I walk up and down and I find a pharmacy. I cant help but cry out in joy knowing that Sean is hurt and we all have something that could be cured with meds to make us move to the resistance faster. I bust open the door with my side and browse the aisles. I find so many things but I don't know what any of them do. What is Ibuprofen?
I go back to the front of the store and grab a basket with wheels. I go down the aisles with an outstretched arm shoving everything into the cart. I find a small food section and see there are some things called energy drinks and Alligator-aid I throw those into the basket along with some apple juice. I go back behind the pharmaceutical counter and it looks like a larger version of Camen's closet. I throw most of the liquids and syringes into the cart then I am on to the grocery store.
