Very bad news

Caroline's Pov

Now that I am done with homework. What should I do? I put all of my things in my bag while holding May in my baby carrier. As soon as everything was in my bag, I put it on my shoulder and went upstairs to our room. I laid my bag on my dresser because I know I wont forget it there. "Caroline, help" I heard Klaus yelled from the other room as a bang hit the floor and I sped in there and seen Hope, laying on the floor unconscious. "What in the hell happened" Rebekah said when she came to the door, not knowing what happened. "We were playing and she collapsed" Klaus said and he picked her up and rushed her to the car. "I cant go yet. I will meet you there" I said, quickly and everyone nodded and I gave Klaus a kiss and they were off and I sped up to May's nursery with her still on me. I quickly grabbed her diaper bag and filled it with clothes, burp cloths, pacifiers, bottles and formula. After everything was packed, I grabbed the bag, and since I still had May on me, I sped to the car and set her in her car seat and buckled her and raced to my seat and didn't even think about buckling, and I stepped on it.

When I got to the hospital, I parked next to Klaus's car and got out and grabbed the baby bag and May and made my way inside. "Where is Hope Mikealson's room" I said, fast, as I was standing at the receptionist desk. "Sorry only family is allowed" the lady said and I was already pissed, and this made me more pissed. "I'm Klaus Mikealson's girlfriend . So I suggest you tell me or you wont be saying anything again"" I said, very meanish, which is not like me. "Ok, jeez. She is in room 386. Its on the fifth floor" she said and I nodded and went to the stairway because the elevator is to slow. Once I reached the floor, I opened the door and ran down the hallway to Hope's room. "What happened" I said, coming into the room and handing May to Klaus. "She is in a coma" Klaus said, tearing up a bit and my whole life basically just fell apart. "Will she wake up" I said, in tears, and Klaus was holding me. "Will she wake up" I said, now sobbing in his shoulder and he shook his head. "There is a five percent chance she will wake up. And if she does wake up, they said something will be wrong with her including amnesia" he said and I nodded trying not to cry anymore but it was hard, even if I wasn't her mom. "What are we suppose to do" I asked, wiping my tears on my sleeves, hugging Klaus. "We just wait" Elijah said, because Klaus now speechless. I didn't really know what to do.

TOMORROW MORNING

Klaus's Pov

I woke up, very uncomfortable. Stupid hospital chairs. Kol and I stayed the night at the hospital while everyone else went home, but they would be back in a bit. I seen Hope laying there and Kol's chair on the other side of the bed. Kol was also sleeping. But now I need blood. I quietly exited the room and saw the nearest person and compelled them to follow me.  When we got into a dark room,  I sunk my teeth into his throat and drank.

After I was finished drinking, I healed him and quickly exited the dark room and back to Hope's room to check on her. "How is she" I said, looking at a now awake Kol but a sound asleep Hope. "The doctor came in and said she did have a 40% chance of not waking up which means she has a 60% she will wake up" he said as if this was a good thing and I stormed out of the room.  "Klaus what is wrong" Caroline said, coming up to me with May and Rebekah.  "There is a 40% chance she wont wake up, but there is a 60% chance she will but I know, with our luck of this damn family she will either not wake up and go brain dead or wake up and be a completely different person" I said, almost in tears at the thought of losing one of my babies. Rebekah wrapped her arms around me, hugging me tightly, as one slow tear fell down Caroline's face. "So what do we do now" Caroline asked,  as we walked back into Hope room, but quietly because May was sleeping soundly in Rebekah's arms. "I don't know , I will go ask a doctor" Caroline said and I nodded.

Caroline's Pov

"Excuse me, do you know where I can find Dr. Shephard" I asked a nurse and she pointed to a tall, muscular man, with very great hair, and I smiled and walked over. "Dr.Shephard" I said, tapping him on his shoulder and he turned around and smiled. "Caroline, what are you doing here"  he asked and I looked at him because I didn't know him. "Do I know you"" I asked and he made a face that only my best friend would make and I now remembered. "Oh, Derek sorry" I said and gave him a hug tightly. He was my best friend. "So what are you doing here" he asked after we both let go. "Hope Mikealson is my boyfriend's daughter and you are the surgeon for her case" I said and he just pulled me into a tight hug probably knowing I was sad because I was. "Well as far as I can tell, there is a chance she could wake up but there is a chance she wont and that's all I know" he said and I nodded wiping my eye with my hand. "So what made you decide to come to Mystic Falls" I asked him and he pointed to a girl over by the nurses station. "She is the love of my life" he said and I smiled and pated him on the back and we both ended up laughing. "So I was thinking of getting a job here" I said after we were both done laughing and he looked at me like I was crazy. "That would be amazing" He said but we were interrupted by Klaus, yelling my name and Derek and I both ran in and seen. Hope was awake.
