Here's a new story that I'm considering starting. Comment If you guys would read it or not

She sat at her desk typing away at her laptop when she heard her door open. She looked up and saw an unfamiliar face. She knew she had no new clients today so no one should be in here. He looked into her eyes and focused solely on the hazel orbs that gave him a clear look into her soul.

"How may I help you?" she asked nervously, tapping her acrylic nails against the dark cherry wood desk.

He cleared his throat and walked closer to her, noting how tense her body became the closer he got to her. Her breathing hitched and her throat became instantly dry as he stood right in front of her desk. She slowly moved her hand to the security button that was directly under her desk. She was prepared to push it at any minute.

"Dr. Warner sent me here, I thought you were aware that you had a new case to study ma'am," he said slowly to her with a light chuckle.

She slapped her thigh and sucked her teeth. How could she completely forget about him? He was the infamous Shawn Carter. The rich and powerful businessman who was such a problem for other psychiatrists. Dr. Warner was her mentor in college and they keep in touch. He sent her a case that had become too difficult for one of his other mentees. He was just so sure she could handle this complicated man.

"I'm so sorry. I was expecting you next week Mr. Carter,"

He sat down in one of the leather chairs and crossed his legs.

"It's fine Dr. Knowles, I know I'm early but I have a business to tend to so next week will be busy for me,"

She noted his cold but polite demeanor and typed that up on her computer.

"So let's get started then shall we,"  she said to him and he gave her a weak smile and nodded his head.

Once she scanned over his file for the umpteenth time she started asking him little questions. The same she does with all of her clients. It's her way of getting to know them beyond their case file. She hated being so impersonal and formal sometimes. Dr. Warner is the one who taught her that. He would say "How do you analyze a person that you know nothing of? That piece of paper called a case file only tells half of the story. It is your job to get the person to tell you the other half,"

"So tell me Mr. Carter, where are you from?"

"Brooklyn," he replied dryly.

He hated this part, he wanted to get straight to the point. He was crazy and he knew it. He definitely knew it. He could cajole people to do his dirty work and make them believe he truly cared for them. He had no heart and no he did not care about the consequences of his actions.

"I've never been there,"

He looked at her funny and laughed.

"You're not from New York anyway are you?" he asked.

"No, is it that obvious?" She asked him.

"Actually it's very obvious. You have a very southern raspy accent,"

She blushed at his comment and rolled her eyes. She worked hard to hide her accent but it slipped out so many times. She hated it because it was country. People assume just because you're country you're ignorant and she was far from that.

"Mhm, well I can tell from your obnoxious laugh that you were born and raised here,"

He rolled his eyes.

"If you could tell already Dr. Knowles, then why the hell did you ask where I was from?"

Her breathing slowed, in an attempt to calm down. She hated being cursed at and disrespected but she wanted to stay professional. She decided to just ignore him and continue with her questions.

"Were both of your parents in your life?"

He tilted his head, wondering if he should lie or just tell the truth. He decided to just do the latter.

"No, I never knew my dad and my mom gave me up when I was 9,"
