The bus ride to Phil's house was long but Dan and Alex got each other so perfectly. If Dan wasn't with Phil he would definitely be with Alex.
"Hey Dan!" Phil greeted from the sofa where he resided, "oh, who's this?" He asked cautiously.
"Um, this is Alex," Dan said warily.
"Oh," Phil studied Alex's face.
"Hi Phil." Alex outstretched his right hand to shake.
"Hey," Phil said shaking his hand slowly.

I looked at Phil. He looked a lot like me with blue eyes and dyed black hair.
I was being polite but I was kinda pissed that Dan had left me for him. He seemed like a complete pushover.
He had most likely taken a gap year or had finished school completely as he was lazing around in his pyjamas.
He was watching Great British Bake Off, which admittedly I really liked.
Dan sat down so close to him he was practically sitting on his lap and I felt a pang of jealousy as I looked at them.
They were so cute.
