[t/w: suicide]

Chris woke up to his phone ringing. It was PJ. Chris answered.

"Chris it's four twenty-three am," PJ said first.

"I get that, now what do you want?" Chris said hostilely.

That's when PJ broke, "I-I-I just wanted to hear your voice again, you make me happy" he sniffled.

"PJ, you ruined it, we're over,"

PJ stayed quiet for a few minutes, "I just-you're the only good thing in my life right now. I need you,"

"Well you're the one that cheated, how would you expect me to trust you?"

PJ muttered something and let out a shaky breath, "I-I know I just-I'm sorry,"

"Well I'm over it. I'm over you,"

PJ let out a short-lived sob and Chris thought he hear what sounded like trainers on gravel, "Chris I love you, I'm sorry for this,"

"For what?" Chris asked a dial tone; PJ had put the phone down.

Chris tried to get back to sleep but he was confused.

Why would PJ call him at 4am?

He sounded like he was outside, why would he be outside?

What was that last apology for?

Chris closed continued to try to sleep. He got about twenty five minutes of sleep. In all honesty, he wasn't over PJ. He still loved him with all of his heart but he could never forgive him.

PJ's body was found under a bridge four days after his mother reported him missing.

He had just been rejected by his dream school and had lost his job after some budget cuts and his father had upped and left with almost no warning. His watch had broken at exactly four twenty-seven in the morning, not even two minutes after he had ended the phone call between him and Chris.

Chris almost blamed himself. He was just mere words from helping him. Minutes away from saving a life. PJ's life.

Phil, Chris and Dan all went to his funeral. It was a cold, rainy day but many people from high school went. Only PJ's mother went. His dad was gone; didn't even know that his son was dead.

Chris looked drained. He had told Dan, Phil and PJ's mother about the call. It must've given her some peace to know his final words. And to know that they were quite beautiful.

[A/N right, 1/4 of the group have died. Also, I'm so sorry that the updates are so slow; I've been kinda busy and kinda distracted this past 1-2 weeks]
