At three am, slightly intoxicated, the three were just talking about life in the back garden.
"Are you gonna get married one day?" Dan asked Chris.
"I hope so, PJ said he was gonna marry me," Chris nodded, "but, well, I guess I found my soulmate; he didn't," Dan and Phil stayed quiet so Chris carried on, "I really loved him, it wasn't like love at first sight or any of that shit, but I knew he was gonna mess me up like, 'oh, its you, its going to be you, game over, you know?"
Dan looked at Phil and nodded.
Phil sighed, "do you believe in soulmates?" He asked no one in particular.
Dan nodded but Chris shook his head, "not exactly,"
Phil tilted his head to the left, "what do you mean?"
"Well," Chris sighed, "I think that there's someone out there for you. Soulmates are someone who you are destined to meet and be together forever, friends or whatever. I just think there's someone. You might not meet them and they could 20 million miles away but they exist, you know?"
Chris looked like he was about to start crying so Dan changed the subject, he laid down on the slightly damp grass, "what about aliens?"
