Phil's parents came to visit two months later. They were extremely rude and didn't pay attention to Phil whatsoever. They only visited family that lived further up north and stayed in the house that they didn't sell in the end and just left sitting there. They had fired everyone that worked there and all the furniture was left abandoned. Phil would be able to move back in there when he had a stable income; which would hopefully be soon.
"I'm sorry about your parents, Phil," Dan's mother had sighed.
"Oh, it's okay," He'd shrugged, he was used to them by now.
Dan's mum smiled warmly as Phil went upstairs to find his boyfriend.

Dan was sat on his bed messily sketching something Phil couldn't see.
"Hi," Dan whispered softly.
"Hey," Phil said quietly, sitting next to Dan.
"It's a flower," Dan said, answering a question Phil didn't ask.
"It's beautiful," Phil complemented.
"So are you," Dan said without missing a beat.
Phil shook his head, "smooth," he laughed.
"I know," Dan shrugged.
