Judy opened her eyes slowly. She trembled...feeling a shaky body causing the bouncy surface to move. They felt cold...and wet. She turned her head around slowly only to be shook by whom she saw.

The one and only, Nick Wilde.

She blushed, touching his face. She came to realize that her fever had died down tremendously. Holding her forehead, she sighed in relief, and glanced at the fox. He was still shaking, and he was curled up, his tail likewise curled up onto her like a bush.

"Nick...?" Judy mumbled.

Nick looked as though he was having a bad dream. His expression gave the idea that he was being scared by something.

"Nick...?"

"J-Judy..." Nick mumbled.

"A-Are you awake?" Judy asked in a more loud whisper.

"D-Don't take her from me...you can't..."

"Nick!" Judy gasped, her eyes lighting up with astonishment. She blushed profusely, sitting up.

Nick's eyes then opened abruptly. "Judy, you're awake?"

"W-What was that all about?" She stammered.

"What-"

Ka-boom!

Judy shrieked in fear, throwing herself at Nick. Nick embraced her, shocked by her sudden behavior.

"It's just thunder Judy, calm down."

Judy sniffed. Now she was trembling in Nick's arms.

Nick petted her. "I know you're afraid of the dark, Judy...I'm right here...I made sure I was here..."

Judy nodded, regathering her composure. "Sorry about that..."

"It's nothing really." Nick smiled.

Judy looked around the room. "So uh...where exactly am I...?"

"We're at Alec's house still. He gave us his bedroom to use as curtesy." Nick informed.

"Oh." Judy concluded. She remained silent for some time.

The thunder and rain continued to be in effect, and lightning was constantly illuminating the room.

Nick and Judy knelt on the bed, staring outside the window. Nick gently placed his arm around her, keeping her close.

"So a hurricane is passing, huh?" Judy mumbled.

"Mhm."

"How long is it going to be here for?"

"A couple days or so."

"What?!" Judy screeched.

"That's what I said." Nick grumbled. "I really don't want to be in this disgusting bedroom, knowing that it belongs to that conniving fox."

Judy gulped, lowering her head. "So...where is he sleeping?"

"He's in the living room, sleeping on the couch with Angel."

"Angel's here?!"

"Yeah..." Nick spoke distantly.

Judy realized that Nick's response was rather vague.

"Did something happen...?"

Nick looked away. Judy could tell that by the look Nick gave, something serious had happened.

"She got body slammed by a vehicle."

Judy's heart leapt a couple beats. "Oh my God! W-Where is she?!" Judy panicked, grabbing onto his collar.

"Alec is nursing her right now in the living room...I'm surprised that he used to go to a nursing school." Nick scoffed. "He even yelled at me to go away after helping his dumb ass find her in that damn pouring rain and carry her back.

"So that's why you were soaking wet and trembling in the bed?" Judy asked.

Nick nodded.

"Wait---shouldn't we call the ambulance?!" Judy cried.

"It's no use. No emergency systems will come during a storm like this. It's impossible."

"But, she can be in a serious coma, she might die!"

"Judy, we can't do anything about it...we'd just be putting other people's lives at risks."

"But Angel's..."

"Just drop it." Nick demanded.

Judy's lips paused, and they closed. She remained silent, not saying anything else.

The silence went on for a little while, when Nick finally broke the awkwardness.

"I'm sorry."

Judy didn't acknowledge his apology.

"Judy?" Nick mumbled, rubbing her waistline.

"So, I see Carrie is here..."

Nick's eyes lit. "Oh, yeah! She's here..."

"I saw a fade glimpse of her...I woke up, and she was looking at me. I asked her who she was and she said 'I'm Carrie! Nick's cousin?' and I don't even remember what happened after that..."

Nick exhaled heavily. "You were really sick for most of the day. I'm surprised you're even talking."

"Really?"

"Yeah...I wasn't getting much of any good responses from you earlier. It was really bad."

"Oh...I'm sorry...I think I was at the park earlier today. And of course, the dumb bunny I am, I didn't know a storm was coming."

"It's not your fault, I didn't know either. I guess we both ought to learn to watch the weather forecast more often now, aye?" Nick nudged Judy playfully, getting a small titter from her. "I just can't wait for this storm to end. I wanna be back in your bed, like I always was." Nick whimpered.

Judy blushed. "D-Don't even start this right now!"

"But I'm being honest." Nick sighed. "I really wanna snuggle in your bed. It's way for smell appealing than this guy's bed."

"I see..."

"So anyways, are you feeling any better now? Yeah, I am. My throat doesn't feel like someone is stabbing it, and my head doesn't feel as though someone is punching me in the temples."

"I'm glad to hear." Nick admitted, giving Judy a kiss. "That means we can get right back to business." Nick tried to playfully push her down, but Judy kicked him off with her feet.

"Eh, it's not gonna happen. First of all, I'm still sick; second of all, it isn't polite to make out in someone else's room."

"Ah, I'm pretty sure Alec made love in his parent's room before-"

"Nick!" Judy gasped, appalled by his answer.

"Calm down, I was just kidding." He pouted.

"It's...not funny." Judy whispered.

The blurry thought of Alec kissing her in their office made her queasy and sick. Nick stared at her and glowered.

"You know, you're still acting pretty weird even after you woke up."

"I am?!" Judy squeaked.

"Yeah..." Nick laid back on the floor with his arms behind his head. "But, whenever you're ready, you can tell me what you wanted to say before."

"Oh, yeah." Judy

"Anyways, it's still late so I think I'm gonna get some rest. Wanna join me?"

Judy nodded, following Nick into bed, and snuggled with him.

Judy laid the opposite direction of Nick and he pulled her close to him.

She opened her eyes and exhaled silently.
