Nick sat at his desk, filing some work. A knock came at the door.

"Come in."

Chief Bogo entered. "Officer Wilde?"

"Yes Chief?"

"You're supposed to be out on a mission with Officer Hopps and Officer Savage."

"Ah...I'm pretty sure they're fine." Nick sighed, tapping his paper.

"Nick." The chief spoke sternly. He earned Nick's attention, as he turned around sitting up straight.

"Y-Yes?"

Bogo sighed. "Their mission is to catch a criminal."

"Yeah."

"That criminal is a thief."

"Okay?"

"That criminal, is also notorious for the increase in murder of rabbits."

A chill ran through Nick's spine. "I uh..."

Chief Bogo placed his hands behind him and slowly walked around. "Being that Alec is with her, I do not know how the mission will go. I'm sure that they'd still be successful even without you being there."

Nick winced at his tone.

"But none the less, this is up to you. I just hope that you know what the consequences will be if either one of them dies."

The chief left his office, leaving Nick stunned by his conclusion.

Murder...?

Death...?

Judy...?

...

...

...Alec!!!

Nick jolted up. "Alec's with her!" Nick picked up his gun, shoving it in his holster.

"Of course! Alec is going to use this as the perfect opportunity to kill Judy! How did I not see this coming?!"

Nick smashed through the hallways, dodging out of the ZPD. Hoping into his police car, he shoved the key into the ammunition and sped away fiercely.

This is what Alec wanted all along... Nick thought anxiously. He wanted us to become so distant from each other, that when the right moment came...he'd erase Judy from the world...from my world.

Arriving at Tundra Town, Nick looked around frantically. "JUDY!!!" He screamed.

Frustrated with his stupidity, he took off running, deep into the jungle. Nick picked up on her scent. In a distance, he could hear yelling, and arguments taking place.

Nick tried to follow the commotion.

Soon, there were now noises of gun shots taking flight.

"ALEC!!!" Judy screamed with frustration. "Help me, what the hell is wrong with you?!"

Nick heard. "She's nearby!" Looking up, he saw some silhouettes moving around.

"JUDY!!!" Nick shouted once more, trying to follow closely from below. "I gotta get up there to her somehow!!!"

After ten minutes of trying to pick up her scent to get to her, he managed to go up by at least 500 feet.

"Damn it, all these trunks and vines...they make it harder to reach her!!!"

"DON'T TOUCH ME!!!" Nick heard Judy scream.

"****!!!" Nick panicked. Nick spun in a circle, trying to figure out what he should do.

Out of ideas he tried to look up to see if he could spot her. His eyes widened, seeing an object falling from the cliff high above.

"Judy...!"

The time was happening so fast, he couldn't tell how far exactly he was away from her.

Am I right below her, maybe she's actually farther right of me!

Time was running out.

"SCREW IT!"

With a second frame, Nick leapt through the air, catching Judy in his arms.

Nick landed on his feet and exhaled in relief. Looking down in his arms, lied Judy, whose eyes widened with bewilderment.

"Ready to make the world a better place?" Nick smiled shyly.
