Nick opened the door with a glare. "What are you doing at my house this late?"

Angel stepped into the door with her paws intertwined as she fidgeted around. "I needed some advice from you because-" She looked up, startled by Judy's presence. "Oh! I didn't know your girlfriend was here, I wouldn't have come..."

"So are you saying that you would come if you knew I wasn't going to be around?" Judy hissed.

"No, it's just that I don't want you to have the wrong idea is all!" Angel defended.

Nick rolled his eyes, slamming the door shut. "Let's just get this over with, have a seat." Nick strolled to the couch Judy sat with her arms crossed, and plopped himself down, stretching his arm around the neck of the couch where Judy sat. He crossed a leg over the other, tapping his thigh. "Alright, what do you need?"

Angel reluctantly sat across from them, and stared at the ground. "My parents kicked me out."

Nick and Judy's eyes widened.

Angel hesitantly chuckled and coughed a little. "We got into a big argument last night when we were on the phone...they told me that they didn't want me to be a cop anymore; that I should stay on the farm and tend to my gardening. I hated that idea because that wasn't my dream...I wanted to be the first fox to be on the police force. But seeing as you made it in before me, I couldn't help but strive to make it in too...my parents lied to me...they said they'd support me in my battle to make Zootopia a better place. It was all a lie." Angel sighed.

Judy looked up at Nick every now and then, as Angel continued her life story. It seemed as though Nick was buying into every detail the fox told them.

Angel was tear-struck, as she pulled out a tissue from her purse and wiped the corner of her eyes. "I'm sorry; I had no one else to confide in...I just thought you'd be the perfect guy to come to."

"Perfect guy?" Judy repeated with anger. Nick patted Judy's thigh, assuring her to be calm.

"And you don't have any other relatives to confide in?" Nick questioned.

Judy was amused by Nick's blunt responses and got up, reaching for her glass at the table. She returned and sat down, scooting over more to him. Taking a sip, she savored the tangy and dry flavor of the wine and sighed with satisfaction.

"They wouldn't hear me out." She muttered.

"Did you try?"

Angel stayed quiet, and shook her head slowly.

"So then why did you come here? You should have gone to your family first before coming to a stranger's home to get advice." Nick reached for his glass and took a sip.

"But we've been together for almost two weeks now!"

The taste of the wine suddenly felt bitter on her tongue. Judy grimaced at the girl. This girl is up to something...

Nick couldn't even swallow what he had filled his mouth with. His eye twitched with irritation.

Angel rubbed her eyes. "We've been working together for two weeks now...I should feel comfortable with talking to you Nick!"

Judy remained quiet this time. Hearing those words made her think. When she was down and depressed, she wanted someone to be there for her and listen, even though she barely knew them.

Nick.

Judy began to reminisce of the times where Nick helped her up when she was stuck, where he encouraged her even though she was wrong. Angel was in need of love like that.

"Angel, I-" Angel cut off Judy.

"But I'm sorry my interfering with your private time. I'll just leave. Maybe hopefully I can reach my family later on to talk to them bout this..." She stood up, bowing, and began taking her leave. Nick shrugged it off, watching the fox depart from his apartment.

"Nick." Judy whispered.

Nick whispered back. "What?"

"We should help her!"

"Hell no." Nick grunted.

Judy switched her attention from Angel to Nick repeatedly. Failing to fight her tendencies, Judy ran to the door and tugged on Angel's tail. "If you want, you can talk to me about it some time."

The fox removed her paws from her wet eyes as they glistened with hope. "Really?"

Judy smiled and nodded.

Angel couldn't help but give Judy a bear hug. "Thank you so much, you don't know how much this means the world to me!"

Judy squealed, gasping for her.

Angel responded to her plead, releasing her.

"We'll talk some time." Judy assured.

Angel cheesed and nodded, running off and waved goodbye.

Waving goodbye, Judy shut the door and ran over to Nick, who caught her in his arms. He lay down and groaned, trying to move his tail. "So that went pretty well." He spoke sarcastically.

Judy kissed Nick on his nose and snuggled her head into his chest. "I appreciate how you've been firm against these girls coming at you. You really are mature."

Nick smirked. "Oh? And what's that supposed to mean?"

"I mean that you've been maturing and not acting like a little kid."

"Oh believe me. When I'm around you, I'll never be able to be mature."

Judy laughed, hugging Nick. Nick wrapped his arms around her and petted her. "I hope she can make some friends..." Judy muttered as she began to fall asleep.

"Falling asleep on me aye?"

Judy slowly nodded, to the point where she just stopped and rested.

"Alright, alright! If you're going to sleep, then you gotta at least change your clothes."

Judy began to moan with dissatisfaction. "I don't wanna get up...I'm too tired..."

Nick rolled his eyes and carried her to his room, pulling out a long black shirt.

"Here, put this on." Judy just lifted her arms.

Nick sighed, pulled off the bunny's shirt, and slid the black top on. He refused to be nosy and peer at the parts he knew he'd be attracted to. He lifted her onto his shoulder and tossed her into his bed, covering her with his sheets.

"I'll be asleep on the couch, okay?"

Judy barely noticed and remained fast asleep.

Nick gave her a kiss on the forehead. "Good night."
