"hello, daniel. I'm claire, we'll be meeting every wednesday whilst you are here. I'll show you to your room."
what is this?
you got yourself locked up. way to go.
it was all so small, the walls were that disgusting mint green like the hospitals and there were paintings hung up which were probably put there to make this all look less intimidating but I felt beyond sick.
people walked by and I quickly averted my eyes, watching my feet instead and I could hear whispers.
they're probably talking about me.
of course they are. you're new, they're probably planning something bad.
you're not helping.
"here we are! this is your room, all for yourself because we thought you might want space. there are a lot of people like you here, so don't be afraid. I've got to go but your buddy will be here soon to show you around. if you need anything, just ask." and with that, claire walked away.
my buddy?
that sounds awfully childish for a place like this.
I opened the door and saw my bags already set beside the small bed in the top left corner.
the walls were a very light blue and there were more paintings hung up. there was a small wardrobe on the other side of the room and a little working desk which seemed absolutely pointless.
I don't like this. it's so small.
there's probably more freaks here, we should make a run for it before the buddy comes.
"hey, are you daniel?"
speak of the devil.
I turned around to see a boy standing at my door way, flashing me a smile when our eyes locked.
"hi, I'm chris," he said and held out his hand enthusiastically.
"I'm dan," I mumbled, speaking for the first time since I got here and shaking his hand.
"great! I'll show you around and tell you all about this hellhole," chris said and smiled at me before walking back out.
I wonder why he's here?
who cares? look for an exit, we can't stay here.
let's just look around, okay?
"so, what brings you here?" chris asked once I managed to catch up to him and his sudden question surprised me a bit.
"what brings you here?" I replied curiously and he grinned and nodded.
"touché. alright, this is the tv room where we watch tv- fun, huh? a lot of us spend our time here, as you can see."
the room wasn't the biggest and had one flatscreen tv that was surrounded by other strangers scattered all over the room, watching a show.
