Joseph's p.o.v.
It had been a couple of days since I last hung out with Nicole. I had a lot of fun that day. That was all I could think about. I was really glad that she liked the gift that I got her. I wanted to hang out with her again, but I wasn't sure if she was still in class or at work. It was about two o'clock, so I decided to text her to see. I would rather call her, but just in case she was in class I didn't want her to get in trouble if her phone rang. I sent her a text that said:
"Hey Nicole, are you busy right now?"
About 10 minutes later my phone rings.
"Hello?"
"Hey Joseph, sorry I didn't text back I was driving home from school. What's up?"
"Oh, I was wondering if you wanted to hang out or do you work later?"
"No I have today off since they're remodeling the store a little. I have some homework I have to do, but you can come over if you want."
"You sure? I don't want to be a bother."
"Nah, it's fine. I just have to finish a drawing. I'm almost done anyway."
"Oh,ok cool. I'll be up in a bit."
"Sweet, see ya."
"Bye."
I headed down to Nicole's apartment.
*knock knock*
Nicole opened the door.
"Hi Joseph. Come on in."
"Hey Nicole."
I walked in and looked around the living room. There were a bunch of paintings on the walls. I was pretty sure that they were done by Nicole.
"Want anything to drink?"
"Sure, what do you have?"
She headed towards the refrigerator and opened the door.
"Let's see, I have apple juice, root beer, water, orange juice, caprisun, or cranberry juice."
"Hmm I'll have apple juice."
She grabbed the bottle of apple juice out of the refrigerator and grabbed a cup from the cupboard and poured me a glass.
"Here ya go."
"Thanks."
I continued looking at all of the paintings around the room while Nicole put the juice back in the refrigerator.
"Did you paint all of these?"
"Yeah, some I won money for in contests"
"These are amazing. You're really talented."
"Thanks. I've been painting since I was little. Even though I didn't paint that well back then."
I laughed.
"Who got you into painting?"
"I just picked it up as a hobby, but my mom supported me in what I loved which was art so she kinda inspired me to keep it up."
"Ah nice."
She headed towards her drawing desk and grabbed a sketchbook and handed it to me.
"Here are some of my first major drawings."
I put my glass down on the coffee table that was in front of her couch and sat down and started looking through the book as Nicole sat at her desk and finished her other painting.
