-Nicole's p.o.v.

I haven't talked to Joseph for week since I've been super busy with school and work. I've had a lot of study groups to go to since it was getting close to the end of the summer term and finals were coming up soon. There was a couple of missed calls and texts from Joseph on my phone. I would have called him back to say hi, but I had been too tired by the time I had gotten home from work. My boss had been giving me more work since my other co worker had been on vacation. I wouldn't have minded the extra work if it hadn't been during the same time as I was studying for school. But I decided to take the challenge. On the good side I got paid more and got 2 extra vacation days. Sweet! I would totally be taking those off soon. When I was on my lunch break at work I decided to finally call Joseph back to let him know how I was doing.

*busy tone*

Darn. I hung up my phone and sent him a text instead:

'Hey Joseph, just wanted to let you know that I've been super busy with school and work. Sorry I haven't returned any of your calls. Call me when you get this message.'

After lunch I went back to work. I had to fix a guitar this time. All of the strings were busted. I have no idea how the heck the person did it, but I had to fix it. It took me a while to fix it since it was an electric guitar. Acoustic guitars are easier to fix in my opinion. By the time I finished changing the strings I polished the guitar and put it back in the case. I looked at the clock that was on the wall and it was time to close up. My co worker Sarah was still there with me so I had some help closing up.

"Bye Sarah, see ya tomorrow."

"Bye Nicole."

I started walking to my truck then Sarah called me.

"Hey Nicole, are you working this weekend?"

"No, I finally have a day off. I'm so glad that I'll be able to caught up on my sleep!"

"Aww darn."

"What's wrong?"

"I was gonna ask you if you could baby sit for me this weekend? I would pay you, I wouldn't pull the friend card and ask for free."

I looked at her with a tired face, laughed and let out a deep breath.

"Yeah I'll baby sit for you."

"Really? I don't wanna ruin your weekend."

"Nah it's okay. I need the money anyway. How many kids would I be baby sitting?"

"Just one, my son Aaron."

"Oh okay, how old is he? Please tell me that he's potty trained."

"Haha he's 5 and yeah he can go to the bathroom by himself."

I felt so relieved to know that he was potty trained. I'm not good at changing diapers.

"Okay. What time on Saturday?"

"In the afternoon around 4? It's my birthday this weekend and my husband wants to take me out."

"Aww how sweet. Okay cool, I'll still be able to sleep in."

"Haha yeah."

"How long am I gonna watch him?"

"I'm not sure yet maybe 'til midnight. Is that okay? Not really sure what Marc has planned for us. He won't tell me."

"Haha yeah that's fine. Hope you guys have fun."

"Okay thanks. Well I'll let you go. See ya tomorrow Nicole."

"Bye Sarah."

I got in my truck and started it. I checked my phone to see if I had gotten a reply from Joseph. Nothing. I put my phone back in my pocket and headed home.
