-Nicole's p.o.v.
I got to sleep in a little late since I got a call earlier saying that I had the later shift at work. Then there was a huge rumble of thunder that woke me up. I almost fell out of bed when that happened. I felt like such a dork that I laughed at myself. I decided to eat "lunch" outside on the balcony since it was nice and cool. After that I got ready for work and headed outside to my truck. Had to jump over a couple of mini rivers since the parking lot was getting flooded. Luckily I got to work safe. On my break I decided to call Joseph to see how he was doing:
"Hello?"
"Hey, how's your day going so far?"
"It was going pretty good until the power went out at the youth center where I was helping AJ teach a singing class."
"Damn, did they say when they'll be able to turn it back on?"
"No, not yet."
"Hope they fix it soon."
"Yeah me too, well I gotta take AJ home since the last group of kids left. I'll call you later tonight."
"Ok, be careful driving. The storm is getting worse."
"Yeah I know, you too."
"Bye."
"Bye Nicole."
About 2 hours later the power went out at the music store. Luckily the back-up generators turned on so we could finish our work. After we finished we had to help lock up. The drive home was super scary. It was dark and it started to rain harder, not to mention the intense thunder and lightning. I was surprised that the apartment complex still had power, but I still decided to take the stairs just in case if the power did turn off. I didn't want to be stuck in there by myself the whole night. There wasn't anything good showing on TV and I had already caught up with the new episodes of Supernatural. So I decided to play Black Ops zombies.
I got to wave 17 then I died because I jumped when the phone rang. It was Joseph.
“Hello?”
“Hey, I just got home. What are you doing?”
“I'm playing Black Ops.”
“What?! I wanna play!”
“Haha, come over then.”
“Alright, I'll head over there now.”
When Joseph got here we played a couple of rounds. I was surprised of how far we got. I think the highest we got to was 36. Probably because I had a ray gun and didn't have to worry about amo. After awhile Joseph finally got a ray gun too.
*loud thunder rumble * *power goes out*
Joseph: “Noooo! I just got a ray gun!!”
I couldn't stop laughing. “Well now what?”
"Let's go out to the balcony so you can play me a song."
“I can't see.”
“Hang on.”
I grabbed my phone out of my pocket and used it as a fashlight.
“Let me go grab my guitar from my room.”
“Wait, you're gonna leave me in the dark all alone?!”
I started laughing.
“Wow, you big baby, I'll be back in like a few seconds.”
I went to my room and grabbed my guitar.
We headed out to the balcony I sat on the floor and Joseph stood there looking at me.
