Nicole's p.o.v.
I woke up early this morning so I could have more time to study for my important art history test that I had. I had a bowl of frosted flakes while I reviewed my study guide that I made in my study group a few days ago. I was pretty nervous for this one. I kept getting a couple of the artists names mixed up. I finished my bowl of cereal and put it in the kitchen sink and packed my backpack and headed out the door to the elevators.
*elevator doors open*
Guess who was in the elevator? Joseph!
I smiled at him and walked into the elevator. "Good morning Joseph."
*elevator doors close*
I don't think he heard me though. He looked super tired. His eyes were closed. He was leaning against the wall with his hoodie up and headphones on full blast. I guess he was trying to wake up by listening to loud music. I poked him to make sure he was awake. He looked up and smiled.
"Oh hey, good morning Nicole."
"Looks like someone didn't get enough sleep."
"Haha yeah, Eric was up late playing video games in the living room with the TV super loud."
"Why didn't he play video games in his room?"
"Hmm that's a good question. I was too tired to get up and tell him anything."
"Haha, next time sleep with ear plugs."
"That's a good idea, but then I wouldn't be able to hear my alarm clock."
"That's true. What are you doing up this early anyway?"
"I have a morning music class to teach. I forgot I signed up for the first session."
"Haha are you gonna change it?"
"No, I'm alright with morning classes just not today since I didn't get enough sleep."
*elevator doors open*
He stumbled out of the elevator dragging his feet. I laughed quietly to myself.
"Have you eaten breakfast yet?"
He turned around.
"No, I was gonna go to the drive-thru for McDonald's and grab a coffee."
I looked at him, "It doesn't look like you can drive. Do you want me to give you a ride?"
He started to dose off and put his head down.
"Joseph?!"
He jumped a little and shook his head.
"No I'm fine. Thanks though."
"Screw it. I'm taking you to get some coffee."
"Haha alright."
We headed to the parking lot and got in my truck. The radio was full blast and scared Joseph a little when I started the truck.
"Ah, sorry."
I turned it down. We headed to McDonald's to get Joseph some breakfast. While I was driving I could hear Joseph snoring a little. I looked at him to make sure if it really was him or I was just hearing something. Sure enough he was leaning against the window snoring. He looked so cute asleep. I laughed a little and decided to let him sleep until I got to the drive-thru.
"Hey Joseph, wake up."
"Huh?"
"What do you want to eat?"
