-Nicole's p.o.v.
"You drive, because I have no idea where there's a place to play pool."
"Haha alright. We'll go to place called The Sandbox."
I looked at Joseph with a weird face.
"What's The Sandbox?"
He laughed.
"It's a bar that my roommate Eric works at."
"I wanna play pool not get drunk."
"They have pool tables there. Don't worry you don't have to drink if you don't want to."
"Are you gonna drink?"
"No, I don't drink." He smiled.
We headed towards the elevators. I beat Joseph to push the button for the doors to open, but he still managed to try to push the button. He touched my hand instead. I pulled back and laughed. He just turned and smiled at me. Talk about awkward.
*elevator bell rings*
*elevator doors open*
"Ladies first."
Joseph signaled me to walk in. I smiled and walked into the elevator. He pushed the button for the bottom floor and the doors closed. I didn't want another awkward moment to happen so I asked him how long his roommate had been a bartender.
"Eric's been working there for about a year now."
"Ah cool."
"I'll introduce you to some people that I usually hang out with."
I got nervous when he said that. I put my head down. I'm not really good with meeting new people. I tend to clam up and be really shy.
"You don't have to do that."
"Why not? You don't have to be shy. I'm sure they'll like you. You're cool."
I looked at him and smiled.
"Okay."
The elevator doors opened to the bottom floor and Joseph gestured that I got out first. We walked to his car and he opened the door like he did the last time. He got in the driver's seat and we headed to The Sandbox.
When we arrived to The Sandbox it looked like a huge outside patio. That's what it was. There really wasn't an 'inside' portion. When we headed towards the entrance I got nervous and stopped walking. Joseph turned back, grabbed my hand and smiled.
"Come on, it'll be fine."
I let out a deep breath and we headed 'inside'. The place was packed. There were a lot of people dancing. I just hoped that Joseph didn't ask me to dance. There were tiki torches that surrounded the whole patio and there were high tables and stools with cool island decorations on them. We headed towards the bar to meet Eric, Joseph's roommate.
"Yo Eric! What's up man?"
"Hey Jo. We're super packed today."
"Haha what do you expect? Everyone's on summer break."
"Who's this?"
Eric smiled at me. Joseph pulled me closer to the bar since I was kinda standing behind him.
"This is Nicole. The girl I was telling you about. Nicole, this is Eric. My roommate."
Eric shook my hand.
"Nice to meet you Nicole. Jo won't stop talking about you."
I started to blush. Joseph kindly pushed Eric.
