I helped AJ teach a couple of more singing classes at the youth center. When class was over I went to his house to chill for a bit.
"Hey, so how are you and Nicole doing? Are you guys a couple yet?"
I smiled at him.
"Yeah, we're doing great. She's so cool. I can be myself when I'm around her."
"Aww that's so sweet." AJ said that in a girly voice. I shook my head.
"Tell her I want a rematch in pool."
"Haha okay."
"What are you guys gonna be doing this weekend?"
"I don't know, she probably has to work. Why?"
"I was thinking about taking CiCi to Disneyland this weekend and wanted to know if you guys would like to join us."
He started talking in a girly voice again: "Oh my goodness! We should call it a double date!"
I gave him a weird look and busted out laughing.
"I'll ask her and see what she says."
"Alright, cool."
"I'm gonna head out man."
"Alright, later man."
"Peace."
I left AJ's apartment and headed back to my place. When I got home I called Nicole, but she didn't answer. I guess she was driving or in the shower so I waited a while and tried to call her again, but still no answer.
-Nicole's p.o.v.
Damn it, I woke up with a fever. I guess I had gotten sick from last night from freezing. I felt like crap, I could barely move. Good thing I didn't have to go to work today. It was super bright in my room. I looked at my alarm clock and it was 4 in the afternoon. I still had my hoodie on and I put the hood up and tried to go back to sleep. Then my phone beeped. There was a missed call. I checked the name and Joseph's name popped up. Then all of sudden it started ringing, it was Joseph. I tried to say hello, but I lost my voice.
"Hello? Nicole you there?"
I tried talking, but nothing came out. I hung up the phone and sent a text message to him:
"Sorry, I hung up. I'm sick and I lost my voice. :("
He replied:
"Ooo I knew you were gonna get sick. Did you take any medicine?"
"No, I will right now. I think I'm gonna go back to sleep. I'm not feeling so good."
"Okay, hope you feel better soon."
"Thanks."
I went to the kitchen and checked if I had any cough medicine in the cupboard. Nope, I couldn't find any. I texted Joseph again:
"Hey, can you do me a favor?"
"Sure, what is it?"
"Can you buy me some couch medicine? I'll pay you back."
"Lol, okay. I'll run to the store and I'll be there in a bit."
"Thanks so much."
I fell asleep on the couch so when Joseph knocked I would hopefully wake up and answer the door.
