Woke up to the sound of my phone ringing.
"Hello?"
"Bro!"
"What's up Jason?"
"What are you gonna be up to later today?"
"Nothing, why? what's up?"
"Planning a last minute bbq at the beach today. Wanna go?"
"Sure, mind if I bring Nicole?"
"No, the more the merrier."
"Haha, ok. What time?"
"Around 2."
"Sweet. See ya later then."
"Alright, peace."
"Bye."
It was 11 when I looked at the clock. I got dressed and headed out to the living room. Eric was playing video games.
"Hey, what are you doing later today?"
"Like when?"
"In about 3 hours?"
"Not sure, might hang out with Christy. Why?"
"Wanna go to a bbq at the beach?"
"If you guys don't plan anything Jason's having a bbq at the beach later."
"Hm, alright. We might stop by."
"Alright." I took off walking to the front door.
"Where you heading?"
"Going to Nicole's place." I opened the door.
"Ooo."
"Haha shut up." I closed the door and headed down the hallway to the elevators. When I got to Nicole's front door I started knocking on it with a cool beat like how I usually do, but she didn't answer. I think she was home. I called her to make sure.
"Hello?" She sounded sleepy.
"Hey, you home?"
"Uh, yeah. Why?"
"Haha answer the door. I'm standing out here in the hallway like a loser."
"Oh, whoops. Okay I'll be there in a second."
"Okay." I hung up the phone and started banging on the door with a cool beat. I could hear Nicole yell through the door: "Okay! I'm up. I'm up." She opened the door.
"Good morning!" I had my arms up. She still had her eyes closed.
"Hey man, it's too early to be loud." She started heading to the couch.
"Haha early? It's 11 o'clock." I closed the door. She turned to look at the clock.
"Hm, it is." I smiled at her and sat next to her on the couch. She leaned on the arm rest and started falling asleep. I started poking her.
"Hey, stay awake." She started smacking my hand away.
"Quit it!"
"Wake up Nicole! Half the day is gone." I started tickling her.
"The sun has only been up for a couple of hours." I started laughing.
"Fine, I guess I'll just find someone else to take to the beach today." She quickly sat up.
"Beach?" I turned and smiled at her.
"Haha look who's awake now." She started smiling. "Yeah, Jason's planning on having a bbq over there today. I was thinking of inviting you, but since you wanna sleep..."
