Twilight
"Heeeey, Twilight! Wake up, sleepyhead!"
I blinked open my eyes and quickly shot up, suddenly remembering the portal and the play and Herobrine.
Pinkie Pie was standing over me with the usual bright smile on her face.
But...it wasn't Pinkie.
She looked like Pinkie, but she was standing on two legs, and she looked basically like a cubic form of a human, wearing a plain deep pink tee and blue pants.
"Pinkie?! Is that you?!" I exclaimed.
Pinkie giggled. "Of course it's me, silly! We just look different. I think we're in another dimension!"
That's when I noticed my surroundings. We were on a small purple platform that appeared to be made out of many large cubes. Around us we could see many other of these cubes, of all different bright colors and always the same size. They all were too far away to reach or jump over to besides a pink platform in front of the red one. There was a small wooden sign in front of us on the purple platform that read, "Welcome to Epic Jump Map!" followed by some strange rules for 'playing' this 'map', and another sign that read "Map by Bodil40"
"What's Epic Jump Map?" I asked Pinkie. She shrugged. "I don't know, but it looks fun! Come on, it looks like we have to jump onto these platforms!"
She gave a little bounce, then leaped into the air and landed on the pink platform in front.
"You try!" she called.
Not completely used to my two blocky legs yet, I gave a clumsy jump and would have fallen if Pinkie hadn't grabbed my arm and pulled me up.
"Whoa! Close call there! Oh, and by the way, where did you get your new necklace?"
"Necklace?" I asked, and looked down. I gasped. On my purple tee almost identical to the pink one Pinkie was wearing was an amulet of a crimson gemstone in a yellow circle.
"What? How did this get here?" I asked. Pinkie shrugged. "Dunno, but that amulet sure looks familiar!"
I realized that it did look familiar. It looked almost like the amulet that a pony Adam I had met six months ago wore.
Then it hit me-A portal? Herobrine? A different dimension? An amulet?
We were in the same situation of the seven ponies we had met six months ago!
I remember now-Adam, Ty, Jason, Ian, Jerome, Mitch and Quentin had come to Equestria claiming that they had been from a different dimension-Minecraftia, I think-and Adam had came with a strange amulet just like the one I was wearing now, and the amulet ha helped to point the way to the portal back to Minecraftia that turned out to be in the giant mountain Canterlot was built on.
"Pinkie-I think this is Herobrine's Gem!" I exclaimed. "Oh, yeah! That's why it looks so farmiliar! Yep, we're totally in a different dimension!" Pinkie agreed.
I tried to feel for a pulling sensation or anything coming from the amulet, but nothing.
"I don't feel anything from this amulet, like a way back to the portal," I said. "Well, Adam didn't either. It was Rarity who felt it with her magic stuff. Hey, where is Rarity, anyway? And Applejack? And Rainbow? And Fluttershy?" Pinkie asked.
Oh, no.
What if they didn't travel with us? I thought.
Don't worry, Twilight. They traveled here with you. They just didn't spawn in the same place as you, a voice told me in my head, but it wasn't my voice. It was a soft, calm male voice, and it was freaking me out.
"What the?" I exclaimed.
"What?" Pinkie asked, but I ignored her as the voice went on.
Don't worry, Twilight. I'm just here to help. You don't have to talk out loud to me, though. It's a bit awkward.
I blinked in shock. Was I going crazy?
Uhh, okay, I thought. Who are you, and what are you doing...in my brain?
The voice gave a chuckle. My name is Edit, he said. I am a Minecraftian Spirit. I know everything about Minecraftia, and I even know Notch himself. I came here because I saw you were in trouble and needed assistance.
Minecraftia? That's the world that Adam and his friends came from.
Yes, indeed. I'm glad you know of this world, and of some minecraftians that live here, Edit said, and I realized that he could hear my thoughts, even if I wasn't talking-or thinking, for that matter, to him.
So, can you help us? I asked.
I can guide you along the way, Edit explained. But first, you should talk to Pinkie. She looks worried about you.
I snapped my gaze from off in the distance back to Pinkie, who watched me with wide concerned eyes.
"Twilight? Are you okay?" She asked cautiously, a smile finally gone from her square face.
"F-Fine," I replied. "There's a...a voice in my head. He says his name is...'
Edit, Edit said.
"...Edit," I continued, thinking about how insane I must be, "and he says he can help us. He says we're in Minecraftia!"
Pinkie blinked, then her face brightened up again. "Wow! That's great! Now Edit can help us find the others!"
Do you know where our friends are? I asked.
After a moment's hesitation, Edit replied. Yes, actually, he said. I can see them in the Cops and Robbers Prison.
That didn't sound good.
How can you...see them? I asked.
Well, as a Minecraftian Spirit, there are many things I can do, like sense living things from no matter how far away...there are many powers a Minecrftian Spirit has. Edit almost sounded uncomfortable, as if he didn't like discussing his abilities. I just decided to drop the subject. So, where's the Cops and Robbers Prison? I asked. Somewhat far away from here, Edit replied. There's someone here that you should find and ask for help. He knows where it is.
You mean, we have to get through this...Epic Jump Map? I asked.
Yes, but don't be sorry. It should be fun. This is what Minecraftians call parkour, and it's very enjoyable.
Okay, then.
"Edit says that we have to complete this...'parkour'," I explained to Pinkie. "Great!" Pinkie exclaimed. If parkour meant jumping around on stuff, then Pinkie would be a pro.
"Let's go!" she then hopped over the pink platform we were on, landing on a blue one, then landing on a yellow one, then green then red...soon she was almost out of sight.
You'd better catch up, Edit told me.
I know, but jumping is hard on these new legs, I complained.
Easy. Just bend your knees and push up.
I tried it, and was surprise when I actually made a legitimate jump straight up.
Good, now just jump over to that blue platform, Edit instructed.
Hesitantly, I bent my knees and leaped over to the blue platform. I almost overjumped that time!
Good job, Edit said. Now catch up with Pinkie.
Maybe having a strange voice talking to me in my head isn't such a bad thing.
Certainly not, Edit agreed, and I remembered once again that he could read my thoughts.
