Twilight

I froze.

"M...Mitch?!" I whispered hoarsely.

Mitch continued to stare at me, his whole body tense. He kept his bow aimed at my head, yet he didn't shoot.

"Y-you're the...traitor?!" I asked with wide eyes.

To my surprise, Mitch gave a small laugh. "Oh, so I'm the traitor," he chuckled coldly, the tone of his voice sending chills up my spine. "What..." My voice trailed off as I realized I was holding something in my left hand. Slowly, I looked down, and my heart filled with dread and confusion.

In my left hand, I held my stone axe. I had it pressed lightly against the throat of Quentin, who was sitting up against a tree trunk, sleeping peacefully.

What was I doing?!

I shakily moved the axe away from the mudkip's throat, and dropped it on the ground next to him, Mitch watching me like a hawk.

"Wow. I mean, I didn't think you were the traitor. I didn't think anyone was the traitor, really. I thought Herobrine was making it up," Mitch explained, lowering his bow only slightly now that I had dropped my weapon.

All I could do was stare at him with my mouth open. I was speechless with shock and confusion. I couldn't be the traitor. I would have known if I was the traitor.

"It's a good thing that we caught you before you did any real damage. Now, I have to wake everyone up, and we can get some answers. Okay?" Mitch told me, now seeming cold and distant.

"D-don't..." I managed to get out.

Mitch raised an eyebrow. "Why?"

"I...I'm not the traitor! I have no idea what happened! I was just asleep, and then suddenly I wake up to find I almost killed Quentin and almost got killed by you!" My brain started to work again, and words poured out of my mouth.

Mitch gave me a doubtful look. "You were asleep."

I nodded quickly, realizing how stupid it sounded. But it was true!

"Well. I'm waking up the others. They need to know." And with that, he looked over his shoulder to where everyone else was asleep behind him, and yelled, "WAKE UP, DOODS!" Everyone jolted awake and groaned in annoyance and confusion. "What? It's the middle of the night!" Ty snapped.

"I got the traitor," Mitch replied. Everyone leaped to their feet. "What? Who?!" Rainbow exclaimed.

Everyone gathered around Mitch and I, and Jordan, who was in the front of the crowd, lit a torch so everyone could see better. Everyone let out startled gasps when they saw me, still numb with shock myself.

"Twilight?!" Rarity shrieked.

"No! Twilight can't be the traitor!" Rainbow yelled, shooting a desperate glance at me.

"Well, she just almost killed Quentin," Mitch pointed out. "WHAT?!" Quentin's eyes went wide.

"Now hold on," Applejack called, her voice quieting everyone. "How do we know that you didn't just set her up, and you're not the traitor trying to keep a target off yer back?" she asked, not hostile, but thoughtfully.

"If I was the traitor, I would have probably killed Quentin already and I would have blamed Twilight on it," he said thoughtfully. "Can we please get off that topic," Quentin growled, but I could see him shaking.

"I...I just woke up to find myself holding an axe against his throat, and Mitch telling me to stop while aiming an arrow at m-my head," I stuttered, everyone watching me intently.
