Romeo lead Kenneth and I into the kitchen where there was a few people adding finishing touches to the food.

"Hey mom," Kenneth says hugging the Caucasian woman who just took the Turkey out of the oven.

"Aw Kenny." She says hugging him back tightly, rocking back and forth.

The sight was so cute, especially the way he towered over her. When they pulled away she scooped De'Juan up in a bear hug. He laughed cutely which made me smile.

"And now, who is this?" She asked making her way over to Kastina and I.

"Mom, this is Kay'Lani and her daughter Kastina." Kenneth says.

"Nice to meet you," I greet, holding out my hand. She pushed it away and gave me a warm hug.

"You too sweetie. Kenny, is this your girlfriend?"

I blushed as he answered. "No mam. Not yet."

"And why not?" She asks me.

"Uh, well, I-"

"The situation is complicated." Kenneth speaks for me. I'd have to thank him for that later because I dang well wasn't about to lie to his mom.

Once I greeted his dad and all the food was officially done with everyone gathered around to bless the food. After we said grace, we stood in line to fix our plates as there was a knock on the door. Minutes later Cymphonique walked in looking gorgeous.

She greeted everyone and then made her way around to me so she could introduce herself.

"I'm Kay'Lani." I told her, shaking her hand.

"Yea I know," She smiled. "I saw you around during the tour last year."

"Really? I don't remember seeing you. I would've remembered. Sort of a huge fan."

"Haha, yea, the point was to stay low key."

"So who were you there fo-" I was cut off by a familiar voice. 

"Hey everybody," He said. I looked up and as I guessed, it was Jacob L, and he had a baby carrier in his hand.

"No way. You and Latimore have a son?" I asked.

Cymphonique smiled. "We're married."

I paused. "Married?" How come I didn't hear of this?

"Yep, ten months. Told you, we were mad lowkey."

"Well congratulations. Even though I'm super late."

"Thank you." She says. 

"So what's your sons name?" I ask.

"Jackson, but we agreed to nickname him Jay."

"Aw, well this is my babygirl Kastina." I say picking Kassie up.

"She's adorable. Chresanto right?" She asked.

I mentally rolled my eyes. "Yea, we've been together for a while, I guess."

"Then congratulations to you too. I'm even later." We laughed. "Well it was nice to officially meet you Kay'Lani."

"You too." I say with a smile.

Then we all fixed our plates and took our seats.

When we were all ready to go, we said our goodbyes as we made our way towards my parents' house.
