Chapter 14

Tris pov

"I'm so stuffed" I say throwing my pizza crust in the empty pizza box.

"I could eat a whole other box" Tobias says and I look up at him shocked.

"Really" I say

"No I'm kidding" he says grabbing my hands and pushing me closer to him. I sit in his lap and cuddle with him on my bed.

A few minutes later we're kissing and clothes are coming off. I pull away and rest my hands on his bare chest.

"We can't do this" I say

"Your right. I don't have any condoms" he says

"Okay but that's not why we can't do this" I say

"What's wrong" he says

I get out of bed and put my shirt back on. I grab his clothes and throw them to him.

He puts them on and I walk out of my room and downstairs. He comes following me.

"Tris stop, slow down" he says catching up to me. He grabs my hand and stops me.

"What happened" he ask

"We can't, we just can't. I think you should go" I say

"Okay I'll go but what happened? What's wrong? I know something is bothering you" he says

"Here's the thing. I like you. I like you a lot but I can't fall for your trick again-..." I say but am interrupted

"What trick? I'm not trying to mess with you Tris" he says grabbing both of my hands but I pull them away.

"The last time we had sex it was only because you were trying to get back at Lauren when you broke up. I can't believe I actually thought you liked me but you didn't" I say and a tear falls from my eyes.

"Of course out of all the times I've had sex I had to get pregnant with you." I add

"Tris stop" he says

"I was about to sleep with you again. I can't believe I was going to do that" I say covering my face with my hands.

"But I like you Tris. I really do like you" he says

"How do I know this isn't just another one night stand. Who knows tomorrow you'll be back together with Lauren." I say

"If you really liked me why didn't you leave Lauren a long time ago" I add

"It's complicated but Tris I like you. I'm being serious. My feelings for you are serious. I know, I know I should have gotten rid of Lauren a long time ago but she's gone now. I want to be with you and our son. Please just let me show you that I love you" he says

"You love me?" I ask

"Yeah. I do" he says smiling

I walk up to him and smash our lips together. He holds my waist and keeps me close.

"I love you too" I whisper and we smile.

"Okay then let's give us a try. Maybe we're meant to be more than friends" I say

"I like that idea" he says smiling and leaning his lips closer to mine so we can kiss again. We stand in the living room kissing for a while but when I need a break for air. I pull away and hold his hands.

"I still think we shouldn't have sex tonight" I say

"I guess your right" he says

"I don't have condoms anyway and we wouldn't want you getting pregnant again" he says and I shake my head giggling.

"Good night" I say

"Good night" he says kissing my cheek. I grab his hand and pull him back. I wrap my arms around his neck and give him a big long kiss.

We pull away laughing.

"Okay see you tomorrow" I say

"Okay" he says

"Love you" he adds

"Love you too" I say smiling

He gives me one last smile then leaves.
