I tried to keep up but he's too fast. We ran out of the doors like lightning. I didn't know where he wanted to go, but I just wanted to stay with him. We just kept running and running and running. We were so far from the school now. Ethan didn't look anywhere else. He just kept running.
"Ethan..eth-ETHAN! Slow down please!"
He turned back and saw that I was panting and starting to hyperventilate. He slowed down and let me rest. I sat on the ground and he sat next to me.
I pulled out my inhaler and took deep breaths.
"I'm sorry Laylah.."
"Why weren't you at the gym class on time?"
"I had..um, something to take care of.."
"Do you mind me asking what?"
He turned away and made no sudden moves. He took a few seconds to turn back and face me.
"Come on, I wanna take you somewhere."
