I was walking to our lunch table when a hand grabbed my wrist. I turned around and saw Jake.
"Oh hey Jake."
"What's up?" he asked, flashing me a smile.
"I'm gonna go eat. Duh. Wanna join me?"
"In your lunch table with your friends?" he asked, emphasizing the word friends, meaning he was only talking about Chase.
I stayed silent for a moment.
"How about we buy lunch then eat it somewhere else?" he suggested.
Chase would be totally pissed if I didn't join him at lunch because I never missed lunch with him. And the fact that I didn't ride with him to school will add more to his fury. But on second thought, he's not the one in control of me. I thought about it for a second.
"Why not?" I smirked.
We bought lunch and decided to eat it in the field. We sat in the bleachers as we stared at the clouds.
"So I'll pick you up at 7?"
"Sure." I mumbled.
"Not really into this, are you?"
"Yeah. I mean it's my first time to stay over a guy's house other than Chase's. And that's because I had my heart broken."
"You loved him ever since?"
I nodded.
"Did you ever confess?"
