What are some of the most memorable experiences in high school? Dances of course! But are they memorable because they were totally amazing and fun or because it was sickeningly awkward?
I had homecoming a couple of weeks ago, and have the Sadie Hawkins dance in about a month, so I've been looking up lots of advice about these dances.
Here are some general tips to help make your high school dance experiences way fun!

1.)Find out the general info about the dance. You'll need to know things like:
*Dress wear- is it formal? Semiformal? Or casual?
*Asking date/who asks- is it a girls ask guys, or guys ask girls kind of dance.
*who's going with who?

2.) Communication is sooooo important! Plan well and don't be afraid to take up the leader role if nobody is stepping up. Make sure everyone has a clear idea what's going on for the date.

3.)Calculate costs ahead if time, especially if the girls are in charge.

4.) Go with someone you know well, and make sure you have a chance to get to know the other people in your group.

5.) Let your family/friends know who you're going with.

6.) Wear good shoes. Unless you're planning on sitting down and not dancing or standing, don't wear those 6 inch heels! If you do decide to wear em, like for pictures, you can do what most girls do and kick off your shoes into the corner.

7.) Choose your dress wisely. Remember 2 things:
1.) It's a high school dance, not a strip club.
2.) You'll need to be able to actually move.
Make sure you can breathe and move comfortably in your dress, without worrying that something might pop out or be revealing. It would be not fun to be remembered as the girl who accidentally flashed the entire school at the dance!

8.) Practice your look a couple of days before the dance. Don't get your hair cut right before! Do go through a quick run of your makeup and hairstyle several days before.

9.) Take a trusted (and honest) friend with you when shopping for a dress.
