1.) Show of Skin Strategically
Pick one part of your body where you're going to show off some skin. Find one of your features that you are not afraid to show (calves, collar bones, breasts, etc) and only sow off that area. If it's you're legs, make sure you cover up on your top half. If it's you chest, cover your legs.

2.) Buy mainly in neutrals
If you buy clothes in neutral and basic colors like black, white, gray, and navy blue, then it'll be easier to put an outfit together.

3.) Bright Accessories.
If you want some more color in your wardrobe if you've got mostly neutral colored outfits, pick some brightly colored accessories like jewelry, hair bows, shoes, or purses. It'll add a nice pop of color without detracting from the overall outfit.

4.) Material Matters
For a shirts that are soft and form fitting, look for 95% cotton and 5% Lycra spandex. For pants that will keep their shape, make sure that they have at least 2% Lycra.

5.) Embrace Your Shape
Everybody has a specific body shape, and so you should make sure you know what your shape is before going clothes shopping. It really makes a huge difference.

6.) Check it out back there
Before you leave the house, make sure to check yourself out from all angles. Fix any V.P.L. or deodorant stains before you go out.

7.) When in doubt, go for nude
No, I don't mean go out naked, I mean go for nude colored heels. Find some that go along well with you skin tone.

8.) Please don't go sheer
Now more than ever have I noticed more girls my age are wear very sheer white shirts with either a dark or brightly colored bra. Please, please, please, don't follow this trend. It doesn't look cute or edgy, it just looks tacky and cheap!

9.) Stripes!
Striped shirts are a versatile and timeless wardrobe piece that everyone should gave one (or more) of.

10.) Little Black Dress
Whether its the classic Audrey-esque LBD, or and little black dress with a twist, make sure you have this evening wear essential.

11.) Create A Look book
If you're wearing an outfit that got you a lot of compliments, snap a picture of it and save it for later. That way, if you're having trouble putting together an outfit, you can just look on your phone or camera and use that as a reference.

12.) High Waisted
Getting high or thick waisted pants can be very slimming especially if you have a rounder body shape, just as long as it fits well and has good tailoring.
