I find writing in a journal to be extremely calming and stress relieving. Even if you aren't super consistant keeping up with it, it's still a good idea to keep one.
Not sure what time start with or out of ideas? Hopefully these will spark some inspiration!

(Well first buy a journal. I have a couple of different ones for different subjects. I have a mini one I carry with me most places to write down either original or other people's poetry, lyrics, or quotes. I have a bullet journal for when I feel artsy or want to make lists, and then a big thick one for when I want to actually write.
Also buy some good pencils or pens. It's way fun to write with colored or sparkly gel pens)
