How to feign your life is together

Sometimes, life REALLY REALLY sucks, but you still gotta hold yourself together and act like you've got it all under control. And you know, it's the little things that count and make it seem like you've got your sh!t together.

Have a signature something- a specific accessory, clothing article, hairstyle, or makeup look. Consistency is key.

Have a fragrance- Smell good or don't smell at all. 

It's okay to dine along- embrace this alone time, bring a book or people watch when you go out to eat.

Love your hair- Find what styles or colors you love and work best for you. Research the best brands and ingredients for your hair. Also, hair masks do wonders!

Your nails don't need to be fancy, but keep them well maintained, even if it's just trimming them short.

Stay worldly- be up to date on current, real world events. Know of art, artists, musicians, politics, books, designers, and etc. Be knowledgeable kiddos!

Crying is not a weapon- It's totally fine to feel your emotions, but don't let them control you or be used as an excuse to avoid problems.

Stay mentally healthy- Get professional help if needed, or makes positive changes in your life for the better. Stop getting caught in a loop of toxic habits.

Jealousy is boring- be happy for others and their achievements. Remember that everyone has their ups and downs.

Boost others- Flatter others, but don't deprecate yourself in the process.

Avoid sulking- But if you feel the need, then tell those closest to you. Just remember, if you don't want someone's opinion or advice, then be careful who you share your situation to. Also, your friends are (most likely) not professional therapists, so don't take advantage of their kindness by constantly using them as one.

Try to not hold grudges- You're only hurting yourself in the process

Cook dinner- Sing along/listen to music or a podcast while you do so if you feel lonely.

Treat yo'self- Buy some sweet smelling candles or flowers. Even something as small as that can boost your mood immensely.

Take naps- Try to squeeze in a nap if possible. 

Drink your water and eat your healthy food- Your body needs it's vitamins and nutrients, take care of it.

Always take your makeup off before bed!

Act confident, even if you really aren't- Hold your head high and proud, you can trick yourself into feeling confident.

Nobody can save you, and you can't truly save someone else- Only the individual can save them self. Please trust me when I say this. Only you are responsible for your own happiness.

Embrace your flaws- Why live a life hating your looks? 

Try to see the good in the world and every situation- Sometimes, you have to be your own cheerleader to keep yourself happy.
