I'll Always Remember You

Nicki's POV

Today was our 2nd anniversary. I had been feeling bad for the past couple of days so I decided to go to the doctor while Rocky went to pick up my present.

One my way home the news that the doctor had given me had me worried, and excited all at the same time. He didn't just give me one piece of news, he gave me two. Unfortunately it was a good and a bad.

I would share my good news with Rocky, along with the new guitar that I bought him, but I would not tell him the bad news until the last possible minute.

My phone buzzed on the dash and I answered it.

"Hey Maddie. What's up?"

"How'd the doctors visit go?"

"Can you come over later and talk privately with me? Bring Riker so that he can entertain Rocky."

"Um, yeah that's fine. Should I be worried?"

"Just be patient!"

"Fine!"

"I'll see you later! Love ya!"

"Bye! Love you too!"

I sat my phone back on the dash and concentrated on getting home in one piece.

As I pulled into the drive I saw Rocky standing proudly with heart shaped balloons. I giggled as I applied the brakes.

"Nice balloons, babe!" I called.

"I'm glad you like them! That's not all I got you! Come inside!"

I grinned as I skipped inside behind him. I spotted a huge pile of brand new clothes draped neatly across our couch. He had even thrown in some sweatpants, my favorite thing to wear.

"Oh, Rocky. This is so great. Thank you so much!" I exclaimed as I hugged him.

"Anything for my perfect wife."

"Come with me! I'll give you your present." I said as I took his hand and skipped down to our finished basement.

His new green guitar was sitting perfectly against the stand.

"Oh my goodness Nicki!!! I love it!!"

"I'm so glad!" I smiled.

He motioned for me to sit beside him as he played me a song.

I don't wanna be famous,

I don't wanna if I can't be with you.

Those words were so precious to my ears. I leaned my head against his shoulder and close my eyes, soaking in that precious memory.

When she stopped playing I looked into his beautiful brown eyes.

"I have another present." I whispered.

"What is it?"

"It's some news."

He gave me a confused look and I smiled.

"I went to the doctor and he told me something that I think you'll be excited about." I teased.

"What is it?!? Gosh Nicki just tell me!"

"I'm pregnant."
