Ross' POV

Amanda was out with Rydel and for the first time in years I was officially alone.

I went outside into my backyard and screamed as loud as I could. I had needed that for forever, and thanks to Nicki's suggestions, we lived in the middle of nowhere. All I could think of is that I wouldn't be able to joke around with her anymore. I wouldn't be able to hug her, or give her advice when she was sad.

Why? Why did I have to meet someone, so caring, so loving, so kind, and know her for ages, just her her to die?

I screamed more, threw random things in the yard, fell to my knees bawling, ripped up grass, basically everything I shouldn't have been doing if I was to be considered sane. But I'm not sane. So who cares?

That was when I saw him step out of the woods, and make his way towards me.

Andrew's POV

I spotted Ross' stares at me. His face contained a mix of fear and anger. I decided to speak up before things got out of hand.

"Before you kill me, let me explain why I'm here."

"Why should I not kill you? You almost killed her."

"I have been through two years of anger management. I realize that what I did was wrong, and I'll forever regret what I did."

"Why are you here? At my house? I'm not her husband."

"I've heard what has happened since I've been out of her life. She's expecting a baby girl?"

"How did you know that?"

"I know people. Anyway, I also know that she's very ill."

"It's really none of your business, considering that you left her and then tried to kill her."

"I love her. She's my baby sister. I don't want her to die. Is there anything that I can do? Is there a treatment that I could help pay for? Anything that will keep her alive?"

"Andrew, we are all part of a famous band, I think that we can handle the cost. But guess what? Nothing can help her. She's a ticking time bomb. All we've got now is prayers."

"Don't tell her that I was here."

"Why not?"

"It'll scare her."

"Just leave. I can't handle any of this right now. I'm about to go off the deep end."

"I noticed."

"Keep it to yourself jerk."

"Don't you think maybe I'm going through it too?!?"

"LEAVE. NOW."

And with that, I was gone.

Nicki's POV

It was 3:00 A.M. And I had woken up with contractions.

"Oh my god. Rocky wake up." I moaned as I shook him.

"W-what?" He asked sleepily.

"Riley is ready."

He shot up as quickly as I had ever seen.

"No."

"Yes."

"Holy crap. Get up and get to the car. I'll grab what we need and be down in a sec."

"Okay."

I waddled down the stairs and moaned in pain with each step. It had been three weeks since my day with Ellington, and Riley had grown ten times larger since then. I, fortunately, made it to the car quickly and within two minutes Rocky was already starting the car.

The car ride increased my agony. I had never experienced so much pain in my entire life. I yelled out a few times, each time making Rocky jump out of his skin.

He called Riker and Maddie first, then Ross and Amanda, Rydel then Ellington, Stormie and Mark, and a few other friends.

After what seemed like years we made it to the hospital. Eight hours of labor did me in. There was never a moment when there was no pain, but the end result was worth it. Tiny little Riley entered the world on September 24th, ironically the same day that the LOUDER album had been released just a few years before. She was born at 11:00 A.M. and weighed only six pounds. She was so beautiful. Everyone was shocked by how much she looked like me.

The doctor placed her gently into my arms and left just Rocky and I alone with her.

"She's so beautiful. She looks just like you." Rocky said while spilling a few tears.

"I know, but I do see Lynch in her." I replied.

For a quick second, she opened her eyes, revealing the most bright, breath taking blue eyes I had ever seen in my entire life. I cried so hard after that. She was gorgeous. The perfect picture of health.

I've never seen that much beauty in my entire life. I'm so lucky to be her mommy.

I rocked as best as I could with her for quite a while. The family was finally allowed to come in, and they all marveled at her. Rydel took out a pink onesie with a turquoise tutu and gently dressed her. I smiled as she handled her so gently. Next, it was Riker's turn. He picked her up slowly out of Rydel's arms and stroked her cheek. He bounced with her. He fell in love immediately. I felt comfort knowing that he would take great care of her when I was gone.

Two days later we were real eased back home with Riley. Rocky and I were finally going to experience what I was like to be parents.
